  9. Have a great Thanksgiving guys.
  10. Today is the 40th anniversary of the introduction of ATM's to the banking scene in Canada. Canada now has the largest per capita amount of ATM's of any industrialized country in the world. And guess just who happened to be one of the main guys who got those machines put into every nook and cranny in Canada, helping him amass a personal fortune bigger than Bill Gates and Warren Buffett? None other than our Squad Leader BG. An odd anniversary to celebrate I know, but I thought I'd share some info on the impact our humble leader had in this part of our world.
  11. what version of game? never seen this before in all the years I've been doing this game.
  12. We had our annual company convention this past week in Chilliwack, BC (outside of Vancouver). Each year we get a corporate gift (jacket, windbreaker, etc) This year, in keeping with our 'green' initiatives, I get a freakin' potted douglas fir tree. What is it with me and trees for pete's sake? Geez.
  13. catch a ride Sunday with us Trib. we will (I think) hit a museum on the way back to Portsmouth. Guitarman:
  14. the pilots on Letterman... the co-pilot is actually pretty funny. Late Show - Heroes of Flight 1549
  15. so you'll be full carrying BG, Pook and their concubines then, correct?
  16. come here... refugees get double the monthly allowance from government as do pensioners who paid all their life into the system. Canada's like Animal Farm...all are equal, but some are more equal than others.
  17. http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/reuters/091111/odds/odd_us_ugly_dating I think if the likes of Painless left the country though, the odds would improve.
  18. I'd prefer a "sick" plan.
  19. Hi FT When I double click on the EXE it auto unpacks into a temp folder without giving me a chance to select a path for install. When It finishes unpacking into a folder it creates Installed called, "UP_18_full" it doesn't do anything. It doesn't start the installer it just sits their. The whole 1.8 is contained inside that folder. I cant see anything in that folder the says "install.exe" I see something that says "client_install" when I click on that I briefly opens a DOS window and then the client install icon goes away. Nothing happens. Can you give me any suggestions? I have downloaded the whole thing a couple of times ounce with u torrent and once just all the separate parts check it for corruption(checks ok) and it always does the same thing it wont let me choose a path it just auto unpacks into the temp folder and sits there. Wish I could get it to work. I did a cut and paste of it into the il2 folder.
  20. Would be great to meet up with some of ya' in London... It's a good 10 hour flight for me...would be a waste to go that far and miss London again (apart from Heathrow)
  21. Jedi... If you want, I'll meet you in London the day before Duxford and we can booze around town, see the sights etc. Find a cheap flophouse and then toodle off to Duxford next day with the rest of the reprobates.
  22. In honour of CG's birthday...
  23. There is a town named Dildo in Newfoundland (yes, I visited it when I lived there) But I'm talking greatest name...not goofiest.
  24. was reading a book on Cdn Victoria cross recipients, and at the back of the book it shows where each VC was now (museum, collection, etc) as well as where the recipient was buried. Three Canadian Victoria Cross recipients are buried in the Greenwood Cemetery in Owen Sound, Ontario...right near where BG hangs his hat. http://www.owensound.ca/cemetery/index.php What would be the odds of having three buried in the same cemetery in a relatively remote area?
  25. One of the old Dogz before there were Dogz: Cold_Gambler and Mr Palava Happy birthday guys!
