This new monitor mentioned here in this thread has gone bad. In the lower right near the address a larger white cloud about 4" long by 1/2 " high. Found the Samsung site, sent a copy of the purchase order and what the problem was, they asked if I'd like the new monitor sent to the same address. Today another message asking if I'd take another model in exchange which I accepted after checking the specs and reviews. A new Samsung 22" 226CW should be on the way tomorrow.

I know for sure I removed the old GPU and put the new one in the same slot, no other cards were moved or taken out.

Just did another reboot and all seems well, so maybe its gone. I did Dl Tool Trays to desktop and will leave it there for now. Another small item, There is a real small white square in the top left corner of the monitor at times, normal?? Also some of the colors have changed, in the mail box and AVG some colors are different, the reds are still bright red and all other OK, but some of the large print is different. Well, if this stays like it is I'm very very satisfied, now to pick away at FPS. Pooka

Boy this is going way over my head. I have Net. Framework 2.o Service Pack 1 but I don't have Net. Framework 1.1 or Hotfix KB928366 This is some of the stuff I lost last time I uninstalled ATI, but BBloke did a VNC and it straightened out.

You got that call right Klinger, Info Overload !!!!! Just when I think the 1950 is the way to go, I start seeing the 3850/3870s.. very confussing. In Toms Hardware, it rated cards and said go for 3 level increase, so with an X850XT I need to jump to at least 1950XT or XTX, 3850/3870, HD2900XT/Pro. I'll follow Quazi's thread and see what that brings, another riddle, why are the X850XTs still selling at such a high price? Pooka

Thanks for the quick response Kling.. I found where you push the Source button and it switches to DVI from Analog. So I think I have it all set up know.

Hi Bbloke, I went to Properties and changed the desktop screen to 1280/1024 and 1280/960.

I ordered the Samsung 226BW, not so sure if I got a good deal?? How can I find out if it will run my GPU (X850XT).
