    What an aircraft!

    Having played around with 4.07 for a few days now the Tempest has shot to the top of my list of flyables.

    The overheat has disappeared! I can now cruise around at 85% throttle/WEP engaged and 330 mph without overheating the engine, and still have a couple of minutes full emergency power when things get hairy.

    The Hispano Vs are unsynched! A touch of the trigger is now greeted with a steady stream of 20mm projectiles. Setting up some QMB missions against Ju-88s and He-111s and watching them get smashed by a river of ammunition was fantastic. No more "hit and miss" with the cannon, just drag your line of fire straight through the target.

    The handling is superb. Some of the twitchy-ness in the controls has disappeared and the tail doesn't want to flick around anymore. Coming out of turns properly coordinated is beautifully simple, even with my Logitech twisty stick.

    All in all, as a fan of the "Brute force brigade " (FW-190A, P-47s, J2Ms and the Tempest) 4.07 couldn't be any better for me.

    I copied this off UBI Zoo Colin. Hope it helps.

    If you've installed software before you will have no trouble installing the small program. You download the installer as a zip, unzip it to a temporary folder and then double click on the unzipped installer.

    The instructions are in French, but it's easy to guess what they mean. This is the procedure though:

    1. After youv'e done the above mentioned double click on the installer a window will open. Here you chose the path to your main game folder. ((usually programs>ubi soft>FB).

    2. Click on the button marked "parcourir..." once; this will allow you to browse to the main game folder. Click on your main game folder once so that it is selected. Click "OK".

    3. Then where it says 'installer' (install) you click on that button to install.

    I can only say that it works for me after installing to my 4.07m FB folder. This folder used to be 4.04m and was updated to 4.07m by installing the new Sturmovik 1946 add-on into that (4.04m folder).

    I can play all three versions 4.04m, 4.05m and 4.07m.

    I don't know about other methods of install.

    Shouldn't have to do anything Colin but if you are still up, I can turn my server on and you see if you can connect.

    You probably have a traffic log available and you will be able to see if your router blocks you going out. If you were hosting, it might be a problem and you would need to port forward 21000.
