  1. Arsenal. That is so gross! Heehee
  2. Very sorry to hear that m8. I hope something comes your way soon. I thought you had been a bit quiet lately.
  3. Let's bang 'em all then decide. Wisdom from an old bull.
  4. I think my solution will mean that you never have to call Microshaft.
  5. Probably ran into a nice Swedish lady with big kabooms.
  6. I have now been able to find a "solution" to the Microshaft validation thing. PM me if you want details.
  7. I'll leave it to Neil to pick a time.
  8. Not a good idea to ever turn anti-virus off.
  9. I am now less stunned than I was before but will always be slightly stunned. I am heading off to the swamp now to fell tall trees in my new dress. Actually I would like Rog to be there as well as I have some questions of my own I would like to ask him about servers. Will check back during the day and see when we can meet up.
  10. Interesting post Kling. He must have been a heck of a pilot. RIP
  11. Hi Neil, First thing you have to do is go to start/run/cmd/then type in ipconfig/all Write all this down IP Address Subnet Mask Default Gateway DNS Servers You will also need to know your external IP which you can get by Googling "What is my IP?" I just got up a few minutes ago so I am a bit stunned but I can be available in an hour from now 2:30pm BST. If you have Msn post your address here. Mine is toy711@yahoo.com
  12. Much better to go with 2 x 1 than 4 x 512 if you have a dual channel board. Next upgrade I am going to replace all my ram and move the existing 2 x 512 to my back up computer.
  13. Interesting review on Intel and AMD dual cores. Intel really kicks ass with their 4 core chips. http://www.behardware.com/articles/623- ... -test.html
  14. If you are thinking of a ram upgrade, you would be a lot better off going to 2 gig (2 x 1 sticks). Il2 runs fine on 1 but I believe you will need 2 to run BOB. Might as well bite the bullet now and save yourself money in the long run.
  15. They are out of Waterloo by the name of Packet Works. It is high speed wireless and you need line of sight and be within 20 kms of their tower. They are going to upgrade me first week in August and I hope to get much faster speeds both up and down.
  16. Six months ago I bought a Belkin 900VA Back up Power Supply. Worked great especially when there was a power outage and my computer and screen kept working, permitting an orderly shutdown. This morning I was working away at my computer when my computer and screen shutdown. I can tell you my heart was in my mouth for a few seconds then I realized the UPS had likely failed. When I bypassed it, everything came right back up except you know what? Called Belkin customer service in the US of A and within minutes they were shipping me an upgraded Belkin 1100 at no charge. They are out of stock on my model. If anyone is thinking of buying a UPS I can highly recommend Belkin. Incidently, it was Luckyboy who told me to get a Belkin because of their great customer service.
  17. I just got a similar PCI USB card and installed it yesterday. It seemed to install fine with Windows driver and when I checked the device manager it was ok. But it created havoc with my computer and screwed up all my other USB outlets. Tried it in a different PCI slot but no better. I took it out but had to reload some driver for MSFFB2 and CH Throttle. Anyone ever had similar problems?
  18. I could be talked into hosting today frior-one. I want to test out the A20/Mossie night mission. I have added a couple of Tempests to the mix. I have also shortened one of the Goodenough missions that took hours to fly the other night. Usual time.
  19. That is some smoking download speed sqed.
  20. Agree but I think we are heading in the right direction.
  21. Very interesting guys. Very good download speed sged but your upload speed may be holding you back a bit. I wonder why the Internet Service Providers are so stingy with the upload speeds.
  22. sqed and I were discussing speed tests last night. I use several but find this one to be the most reliable and accurate. Usually, I select the Chicago one but the closer the better. Arsenal, I see you have one right in Atlanta. It would be interesting to see some examples from the DD's and Hellers, and in particular, the gents who host. Here is the link for the speedtest: http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/ BG
  23. Thanks for the offer Dieg. I'll try this one first and see how it goes. My new USB PC Controller card just arrived but the drivers won't load. It never goes easy eh?
  24. Gotta love a Dell :flower:
  25. Just found it. It was where it should have been doh.
