I think you need to either feed the hamster, or stop fooling around with those nuns Friar!

My experience of XP64 so far has been pretty good.
Downside:
1. No longer able to program my joystick buttons on my MSFFB2
2. ZoneAlarm security suite doesn't support XP64, nor it would seem does Norton.
Tried Comodo but that was too buggy, so in the absence of contraception I'm now abstaining

As I understand it, the IL2-1946 game is also available as a paid download directly from ubisoft if you have a rapid connection. Bear in mind that you will also need to download the 352nd mod package which you can find in the Vault.
Welcome to the pound Eraser - I think you'll like it here...
~S~ Jabo
And it is now available on Steam too

Now I am quite careful not to be on the internet at all with an unpatched windows xp machine, and will go as far as unplugging the internet connection until windows xp sp2 or sp3 is installed.
hey Stingray, do yourself a favour and get nLite linked in my post above, then you can have SP2 or SP3 from the get-go
It is easy and will only cost you a CD and half an hour or so of your time.

As far as video card drivers and all the rest, there are plenty of 64 bit drivers for nVidia cards. Not sure about ATI but I assume they have them too.
Dep
I'm running 64Bit XP too, ATI drivers are fine unless you want the 8.12s which are buggy and will not install properly under XP64.
All other drivers were fine, Creative for the sound card, Chip Set (AMD/ATI so a little odd to find and install) CH controllers etc.
Lost the ability to program my MSFFB2 stick, but hey ho at least I have all my RAM
.

i just learned from Jabo that Win XP sp1 is not installing on PCI-e MB. i'm yet to discover why but this is what ive learned.
Sounds like he has a SiL sata controller.
But surely he would be better placed slipstreaming SP2 or dare I say even SP3?
SlipStreaming for the masses... and it's free, if you feel adventurous you can even get the drivers for chipset and GPU included in your XP install disk

OK,
Should I use something like Norton Ghost to make the complete backup to the external HD,

The 8.12 drivers are a POS.
On my third attempt got them installed but no CCC.
Your best bet Kelly is go into safe mode (F8) and clear out the drivers using driver cleaner, then install either 8.10 or 8.11 drivers.

..are a sod to find.
You may already know this if you have an ATI chipset board, but getting the South Bridge drivers is not straight forward, they are hidden..
Once you have selected your OS and Graphics adapter you get taken to a download page.
Once there click the menu item 'Drivers and Tools' on top menu bar and you will now be presented with all ATI GPU and Mobo drivers...

Mildenhall is just up the road from me
She will get DSL in the area, unlikely to have cable over that way.
So first step will be a house/flat, then a 'phone then sign up with an ISP

You should really be using Firefox..
Read this article on the BBC regarding a serious new security flaw now being used by crooks:

Hell, that is my ex-wife's twin sister!
I can tell them apart 'cos she has the better teeth than my ex..

Does that guy work out
LOL
~S~ Shameless.
I see you are still on the make Mick!
Perhaps Jim will introduce you two

4.09 is the patch level for all Dogz sorties, so you would need to apply this in any event.
When you do assist in the SEOW I can if required, and requested by the commanders, grant you access to whichever part of the forums that will work best for both parties.
I have a gut feeling that once you do fly with the Dogz it won't be very long before you realise that you have found yourself a permanent home in our Pound!
-
OMG where was that taking place?
-
I dont see any stars there and I do see the dogz logo, snacko
That'll be me fiddling Andrew, all sorted now I hope.
Friar was affected too.

new pedals
in Help!!
Kelly it sounds like your Saitek was on ID1, then your pedals snatched ID1 for themselves, putting your stick on ID2.
So...in controls -> hotas section in game re-assign the aileron and elevator axis to your Saitek again

Like BG said
Also advise him to not install it in program files folder, instead install in, say, C:\IL2 - this helps with file permission issues.
He also needs to make sure Vista's UAC is turned off too..
I run it fine under Vista64 now, barely (if any) difference to XP64 too

Well I started out with this game even younger, and I turned out to be a well-adjusted young man, or did I?
I'd say not, otherwise you wouldn't be here!!!

You should be able to submit an image...
Click on, say photos folder, then you should see 'Submit an image to this section'
this is the link for photo uploads:
http://www.dangerdogz.com/gallery/p17_sectionid/3/p17_action/submitimage
The gallery is now set to auto publish images...
I haven't allowed images to be uploaded into the root folder 'Images' only the sub folders...should I change it?

Ask the admin, he should know if it is not the default, as he would have configured it that way.
You can also test if it is configured the same as the dogz server and try the main port..

Thanks M8, downloading Kaspersky now.
The MOD used to use Kaspersky, don't know if they still do...
Re: wireless, it is my experience that for online gaming you cannot beat wired, my wireless router is 3' away but I still use wired because of the increased latency wireless gives, plus the latency is not consistent.
