  1. You could create a fictional Russo-Georgian war set in late 1992 where a coalition of European countries intervenes and tries to protect the sovereignty of Georgia. The Russians try to secure the former soviet weapon stockpile and easy land access in order to prepare an invasion into the western oriented Azerbaijan and help out their Armenian ally that is suffering from the border clashes with Azerbaijany forces. The situation for the Georgian forces is critical and time is of the essence. The European task force was able to land a small number of forces near Batumi and establish the required airfield facilities to maintain a small air presence but available airframes are limited. Together with the remaining Georgian airforce assets, that have been carefully preserved during the initial air attacks from the Russians, the coalition needs to strike advancing Russian troops and force them into tactical withdrawal. This will allow coalition forces to deploy further airframes at the much bigger Senaki-Kolkhi airbase further north. If the coalition is successful in securing the Georgian lowlands the US is willing to send one of their aircraft carriers into the black sea. Until air superiority in the south is not secured this move is deemed to risky though. The success of the whole operation depends on these early days. God knows what the Russians will attempt next so act quick and decisively to establish the beachhead as planned. Maybe sth like this. Russians will use mainly MiG 23, MiG 29, very small numbers of elite Su 27 and lots of Su 25 for air attacks. Their helicopter forces also need to be deployed in big numbers. A lot of Mi 24 and a few Ka 50/Mi 28 as support for the Mi 24s
  2. @Friar i think after all the effort that went into it, this campaign deserves to be finished. For me it became a superb experience once i found my place and knew where i could help to achieve our goals. Since you want to modify it anyways would you mind setting it up in a way that roughly resembles the state in which we last left it? It would be nice if Aleppo AB is free for the taking, Harim and.. 'the other town' under control and our forward auxiliary airfield in Hatay maybe fully stocked with weapons (unlimited) and a limited amount of various airframes available (so we still have to be careful but don't need to start the next session with ferrying all the planes over again). I think by that it wouldn't really feel like a restart and we could more our less simply continue our campaign. I have no idea how much work that would be for you though. This is a hobby after all so please don't feel obligated to invest too much time and burning yourself out 🙏 Also is it possible to make the A10A available? That would be great since i only have a limited set of airframes at hand and that would give me a proper platform for using mavericks + a bit of diversity. But please only bother with it if it's just a small change and can be done in mere minutes. I can totally live with only having the F-5 and AJS 37 available.
  3. @Friar are there any news about the campaign? Could you make it work again? If not, please let me know if i can help in some way.
  4. I recommend using something like loctite 222 if the bolts are smaller than M12 (don't use the higher grades for small bolts). This should keep the bolts in place but allows you to loosen the bolts if required.
  5. @Friar Sad to hear that you find so many bugs when trying to create missions for us but I'm sure this is something ED should look into and is not your fault. It's a pity that some functions of the game are so 'fragile'
  6. So how did the testing go? Did you successfully got to the point where you reached for each other's throats?
  7. The TAW Spring 2025 has been concluded: Sadly we didn't win the second map and lost in the total scoring: This was my first serious participation in a TAW and for that i am happy with my personal results. It really shows that you can even put a dent into the enemies forces as a somewhat inexperienced PvP pilot. I am even in the top 15 ground attackers. This has to do with my flying hours though haha
  8. The moment when you realize you never really played the singleplayer part of a game 😄
  9. No worries I thought so much 👍 I'll fly tonight with some chaps of the Duxford Wings again. Feel free to join if you find the time. I'll be online between 19:00 and at least 23:00 UTC @DD_Petrol @Perfesser just marking you to keep you in the loop
  10. I sent you a private message since i dont know what might or might not be shared publicly
  11. Wow so many events going on in the UK I'm a bit jealous 😳
  12. @Perfesser will you be available tomorrow again? @Mosquito I saw you on the server on Wednesday. Feel free to join on SRS and let me know that you want to fly next time. I know a lot of people by now on the allied side who are willing to let us participate in their operations. Very cool stuff going on Same goes for anyone who likes to give it a try.
  13. Wow 105 years.. This guy surely had a long life! May he rest in peace o7
  14. Yeah, let's focus on that please! Last session we did really good in terms of teamwork but accidentaly though haha. Let's try to communicate who is doing what and try to have one fighter in the air at all times to protect ourselves from incoming bandits
  15. I am looking forward to playing on this map! I really hope they put it on the Heatblur server as well
  16. @Perfesser @DD_Petrol I befriended some of the squadrons on TAW and the Duxford Wings would be glad to have us on their side this evening for ground pounding and agreed to add you to their comms channel on discord if you like. We might be able to run a huge operation with them today and strike the enemy where it hurts. I'll be online at 2100 UTC
  17. @Perfesser @DD_Petrol I'll be available this Friday at 2000 UTC again
  18. Good to know! Yeah, we definetly should go for the Allies then 👍
  19. Hey guys, what do you think about participating in TAW? I played it once but had no squadron and SRS wasn't always as active. Now that things have changed i'd like to participate if we get together a few pilots. See the official anouncement below: Edit: Link to their Website: https://tacticalairwar.com/ (registration required to play) Note: Perf and I will meet Friday at 2000 UTC on the TS Server and do the registration together. You can pick your side and planeset only once so it would be best to coordinate.
  20. @DD_Fenrir @Friar I think the mod installation was succesful (no bugs when spawning in the Hercules) but it took me a while because i was looking for a Saved Games folder... since my OS is in German this folder is called Gespeicherte Spiele on my PC Please don't ask how long it took me to realize that haha
  21. @Friar @delta7 That sounds awesome! I should've looked more closely before making any assumptions about the time frames you're flying in I think I'll prepare the mappings for my current peripherals and practice the Tiger a bit since it is one of the easier planes to get used to and I still have to set up the controls for the new throttle I bought a month ago. Haven't played much DCS for a while so I don't want to come completely green 🌱 Tanks for the invite! Update: Everything set up and ready for tonight
  22. Thanks for your kind replies, guys! @Friar I looked up the DCS section of the forum here and got the impression that you guys exclusively fly WW2 planes. Sadly I don't have any of those but I'll let you know if I decide to buy one. I only have Flaming Cliffs 2024, the Saab Viggen and the Syria map (I bought it for the legendary cold war server of Enigma89) Which scenarios do you guys prefer? I think I'd choose a plane accordingly when there's a sale. @delta7 see you on Sunday then I might be there a bit later due to dinner time but I'll join you guys right after Edit: Just visited the IL2 page to update the squadron tag
  23. Hey I'm Squee7e (or Max irl), 29 years old, from Germany and i learned about this squadron when some of you on the WingWalkers PvE server invited me to your voice chat. I first played flight sims when i was a kid and the OG IL2 Sturmovik was on the CD in a computer magazine my father bought for me. Sadly back in the day i didn't have the friends that shared my passion so after some years i stopped playing and switched to other games. Last year i rediscovered my passion for flying and bought myself a new rig with proper peripherals (though only TrackIR and no pedals yet) and got a new module everytime there was a sale. I play mostly PvE because i am not a fighter ace and without a wingman it ends the usual way but if you need someone who watches your six you can rely on me in PvP as well. I also own some DCS modules but didn't want to invest too much money into it without some people to fly with and until the Razbam issue is being resolved. I am looking forward to flying with you guys
