Rattler
It all began one fine day with 2 Me-109 G-14's flown by Sunflower and yours truly, as we went out to intercept a flight of P-63's flown by the diabolical trio of BeeBop, Emann, and Enforcer. The reds opened up on some poor, unsuspecting German army troops, obviously transporting aid material to starving French people... Rattler gets in the saddle on Emann... Which has the usual results... Luckily Emann is able to get out safely... Arthur and I have an incredible head-on encounter... Little did I know that Arthur hit me and caused a fuel leak...I would later force land only to be strafed by the AI P-63 #8... A happy Carl... A happy Pete An unhappy Carl But at least he's safe too.. While being chased by Clarke, Arthur still take s the time to ground pound...ever the consumate professional. It's those little attention to details... But not all good things end happily... Do you think he can get out from this altitude? I guess not. Still, a great flight, red. Only Clarke survived in the cockpit, but it was a fun furball.
Enforcer57
HA! the sad thing is that this is exactly the way it happened, rt down to my quote as Rattler blew both my F-ing wings AND my tail off wiht those THREE mk108 30mm thumpers. Not bad for a gun with a muzzle velocityof around 600 fps. I felt the thump and the plane jerked a bit when he hit me, so i did an external view to see the damage......and discovered that most of my damned airplane was gone.....so this is not much of an exaggeration. This is pretty good Rattler, and will probably be found by future archeologists of the next millenium who will take this as an accurate account of WW2 in the air. Now I need to work on the one from Sunday afternoon where we flew 109's and 190's escorting Heinkels vs Spits. I took out 3 of the bombers while the other Spits were dealing with the escorts, then I did exactly what BG's post says not to do: fly into their MG arcs...PK'ed
Beebop-RIP
Yeah, that was great fun. As Rattler pointed out, I am dedicated to my mission even with the "enemy" on my six. At least I didn't "Arthur", I was shot down fair and square and that IS something for me! And yes, I feel shooting up ambulances, (even if they are carrying munitions) is SO politcally incorrect! (Note to those I fly against, put a red cross on your plane and I will feel compelled not to fire upon you)..... . . . . . . . WHEN MONKEYS FLY OUT MY BUTT!
