JensenPark
One of the Aircrew Crew Association members that I've gotten to know has written a book: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dowding-Churchill-Dark-Battle-Britain/dp/1844158543/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1228791349&sr=8-4 Apparently Len Deighton is writing a review of the book this Sunday in The Mirror or Telegraph... Having lunch with Jack on the 17th...going to nab an autographed copy if I can get my grubby hands on it.

Enforcer57
Let us know what the jist of the book is JP, as the title has got me curious. I didn't realize LD was still around. He is one of the most graphic authors I've ever read.
Klinger
This one looks very interesting JP. I've read so much about how the BoB was Britains finest hour etc, and obviously for a lot of people it was. However my fathers own memories, and recollections from the likes of 'Mad' Frankie Frazer (infamous London gangster) prove that plenty of crooks made it big off the war. Dressing as ARP Wardens and robbing jewellers during bombing raids was one such scam. Agreed about Dieghton. If you have not already read Fighter, Bomber, Blitzkrieg and Goodbye Micky Mouse, you should.
