JensenPark Posted April 14, 2006 Report Share Posted April 14, 2006 upgraded to a ATI x1600 pro - 512mb after my 9800 fried due to a lousy fan. ordered the Medusa headphones that BG recommended (and I think Roger has?) Quazi Posted April 14, 2006 Report Share Posted April 14, 2006 Even if it is so Kel, heat is a card killer. These factory heatsink are barely capable of properly cooling a video card. Every card I have ever owned had the factory heatsink replaced with a better one as soon as I could afford to pick one up. The only exception I have found lately is the coolers that come on the X850's. If I wasn't watercooling, I would continue to use its' heatsink rather than replacing it with an aftermarket one.
