  1. So FT did you figure out a way to use your Kave 5.1 Digital. ROC-14-160 with your Buttkicker?
  2. Well what would be cool is to have the ROCCAT (ROC-14-160) headphones and be able to use the built in 5.1 speaker ports on the remote at the same time. Maybe use the ROCCAT Kave 5.1 Surround Sound Gaming Headset (ROC-14-500) and connect them to the speaker ports of the ROC-14-160. If not then that would be a cool feature for them to incorporate.
  3. Another Facebook guy I suggested come here.
  4. Well actually I thinking about it and I think I can solve the dual headphones with a cheap USB switch. This still leaves the butt kicker but I do use my steering wheel as a rumble feedback so at least I have that. So which headsets do you guys love and recommend?
  5. I have been thinking about looking into 7.1 but I have some special issues to take into consideration. First off I have two separate areas where I play games on the same PC. For FPS'ers I use my standard 23" monitor and G15 keyboard sitting at my desktop PC. For sims I use the 39" HDTV and pit with TrackIR. Right now I use a Behringer HA400 4-Channel Stereo Headphone Amp to drive two pairs of Plantronics Audio 90's which I happen to like but they are not 5.1 or 7.1 So I need to find a setup that will allow me to use two 5.1 or 7.1 gaming headsets at the same time as I really don't want to have to go into Device manager and keep changing which sound card is being used. I might also complicate things by adding a butt kicker solution down the road. My Motherboard is an Asus Sabertooth Z77 which supports 7.1 Any ideas?
  6. I keep reading about re-greasing the Warthog. I think they must have changed something with the newer sticks as there is no stickiness on mine at all. It is a bit firm when moving but an extension should fix that somewhat when I get it done. Anyone else with a Warthog have any sticky or non-smooth movement issues?

  8. pHiLiPp_DE has joined so please try and help him. Seems like a nice guy.
  9. Well it is me that is envious of all of the flying skills you guys have. I have committed to try and spend more time this winter and get better (barring anymore health issues). For me half the fun has been to build this. Keeps my skills from getting totally rusty. It will look a lot better when the buttons are mounted on the black plexiglass. I ordered a metric step drill to try and prevent chipping it with all the holes I have to make.
  10. Well I once again put out an advertisement for DangerDogz. Hopefully some of them will join up.
  11. No I will have them illuminated all the time (at least that is the plan). Not much sense in illuminating a momentary button when pushed.
  12. He said he had patched it with the megapatch and did the same for his win7 laptop so its either missing some OS files or its a driver issue. Mentioned once again to come here so maybe he will
  13. Actually they are 12 volt and will be on a separate power supply and will be used for illumination since they are momentary. The contacts are totally separate from the lights so will not interfere with the board.
  14. I suggested it. He is from Germany so maybe some language barriers. I am thinking it might be a Radeon driver issue. But I will once again send him over
  15. He says it under C:\Games He said he installed it on his laptop (win7) and it runs but slow. Not sure what to tell him next. He posed this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZWx1dSUz3Lw&feature=youtu.be

  17. Well there are some newbies on the IL-2 Facebook page that are having some issues with Win7. I made some suggestions and also suggested they join the forums here since some of you are pretty good with solving issues. Maybe get some new members out of it as well. I don't remember having to run IL-2 in a compatibility mode. Did one of the patches fix this along the way (some of these newbies have not patched the game even after I suggested it).
  18. This post on Facebook: After a little trial and error online (exploding planes at start) I make the Okinawa re-texture compatible with stock 4.12.2 online simply by disabling the actors.static file. Looking to work the textures into some other stock maps, a big improvement.. Go to 4th post for DL link. http://allaircraftsimulations.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=126&t=22192&sid=89894407603dd9c877c317ac393f5d3f
  19. The rectangle ones are illuminated buttons and they are only momentary. The rotary is also just momentary twist side to side. They should work well for most sims. They have a nice tactile feel. Something that was missing with a touchscreen in the mist of a battle.
  20. These are the buttons I am going to be using and the two USB cards
  21. Well here is my new pit so far. The center screen and button panel cockpit frame is complete. I am waiting on some switches I ordered (back ordered) and then I will start mounting them. I will have over 60 buttons as well as a few special red and yellow ones. I have worked out a way to use my wife's Silhouette Cameo to make templates to lay over the buttons so I can change the labels based on which sim I am using (1946, COD or Freespace 2, ect). First I need to sit down and figure out the button label arrangements. I also have to finish my Warthog extension. Here is IL-2 1946 with UDPSpeed gauges. Here is IL-2 Cliffs of Dover running VirtualCockpit gauges
