  2. Yep,that was me....topping a tree for a friend on a Sat.morning.....just some light recreation before brunch...lol
  3. Hmmm.....I kinda thought this story would generate a little more interest with you guys.Maybe because it's a local story for me....kinda in my neighbourhood.I don't care about the grow op thing.....It's about the bear story that I'm more interested in.Seems to me that this is a uniuqe situation concerning the bears.I don't condone what the "Bear Dude" has done,....I just want a "Happy ending" for all the bears,....which probably and unfortunately won't happen in the long run. Another example of humans interfering with the delicate balance of nature.... ps....I have since let my pack of "Guard Squirrels" return to their families, and have destroyed my grow op of wild rubarb.....The chipmunks have voiced there gratitude.....there is peace in the forest once again...lol..........the owls enjoy the silence of my saws... ....wow....goood weeed. B.

  5. OK, Now that I've got your attention, apperantly the RCMP busted an outdoor pot grow -op in the Christina Lake area.About 1hr from where I live.It seems that there are about 10 or so black bears that hang around the compound.Early news reports said that the bears where being fed by the land owner, who also had an outdoor grow-op,and the bears where there to "guard the crop". Pics where taken with the cops posing in front of the bears etc.As the story progressed, officials decided the the bears would have to be destroyed.Because they would pose a "great threat to the public".After huge public outcry and more exposure from the news,as of today it has been decided that the bears were'nt there to be "bears on patrol"....or to guard the the crop. And they won't be destroyed after all. It turns out the land owner has been feeding these bears for quite some time, and is basically a wildlife lover who has racoons and other wildlife who he looks after as well.It has been wisley decided that he can go on feeding the bears untill they go into hibernation. At which time the"experts will re-evaluate the bear's situation."There is still the small matter of the grow-op to deal with, but for now the bears are well fed and are doing well....lol If I had more time I would post some U Tube links...maybe some of you guys...Canuck guys, could look into this story a little more, and post some links and stuuff. Apperentley the guy is now called "The Bear Dude."...which is so typically Canadian and is so B.C.We are pretty laid back here in B.C.....maybe 'cause our weed is soo goood.....so I've heard....lol B.
  6. .......lol....thanks,JP,....a couple of minutes out of my life I'll never get back.......the word LAME comes to mind....lol B.
  7. Glad eveything worked out ok,Jim.Good call getting a pro to get the machine un-stuck.Too many times I've seen guys get stuck and then make things worse by trying to fix it themselves. It seems you know your limitations concerning your experience level. Anyways, the grass looks great and the pond looks cool. Thanks for sharing. B.
  8. Hey,FastDad, Looks like you've been accepted to the pack,so I guess I have to welcome you as well....lol......just joking mate....welcome! Just a little more info....this sign is on a house in a small town called New Denver.About 1 hr from me.Cool little place, where they don't have internet or cell phones. A secluded little hide away, nestled in amongst the mountains,on the shore of the Arrow Lakes.....It's kinda neat that we have places like this that have'nt been overrun by major development or technology. B. But just in case you can't find you're way home.... ,,,for a small town,''they think of everybody....lol B.

  14. Met up with Pappy,Trout,& Perfesser on Warclouds last night. We were going after enemy tanks and vehicles in a town.I crashed early, but hung around to watch the guys perform a series of extremely accurate attack runs with rockets & 20mm cannon. The word used was "Surgical",I believe. As I was watching and acting as a kind of spotter, one of them started firing his cannons at a target, beside a church.I commented that he was getting "good hits on the church". After the guys completed the objective,we were all talking about how well the attack went,...how we rolled in,identified the targets, annihliated everything and egressed outta there! I was saying how great it looked from my perspective, when Trout said something like,"That was almost a Surgical Strike,....except for the chuch."This brought about loads of laughter from all of us. We kept referring to the "Church" throughout the rest of the evening. It was great to fly with Pappy who is a pretty decent guy and good pilot,as well as those other two guys..lol Anyways,I just wanted to share with you yet another great session of flying with squadmates. There's nothing better than having a bunch of us dogz show up & fly together.Whether it's our own coops, hyperlobby, seow,or what have you. ~S~ B.
  15. Thanks Sid.A good article for sure. B.
  16. I'm really really not liking you right now,JP.Dammit!.........(kidding) B.
  17. JP, You mentioned Hammy Gray.I just have to add this.. Hampton Gray was from Nelson,B.C,only an hour from here.If memory serves,I seem to recall an episode on the History channel about him.Early in his careere,he was involved in an attack on the Tirpitz..Due to his inexperince he went in way too close on his attack run, with guns blazing. His gun camera footage from that run was later used for training purposes. He became quite a good pilot, and If my memory is right was THE last Canadian serviceman or maybe the last serveman in the war to be killed before Japan surrenderd. It may have been the next day after his death.Anyways, can't wait for more pics! B.
