Fixed for you, lol!

Generally, if you want to fly on a 'non flying' night, all you have to do is jump on TS. It doesn't normally take that long for someone else to show up like minded.
Like I'm going to do later on tonight when the new beta patch for DCS finishes downloading, lol.

Hi Crash, I've tried a few different times, but I'm finding it impossible to make a track that doesn't go screwy after a while, basically when I start the landing!
Anyway, here is a F-18 and F-14 track each, starting on a populated super carrier, take off and some acrobatics which hopefully won't make him puke!
Who knows when you watch them, they may complete to the landings, but both on mine play correctly until the landings, when they just go fubar. DCS and tracks is a rubbish combination!!!

Played around with my Spitfire default head position, as it has always bothered me slightly in 2D, anyway, much much happier with the new position
-
If you do it in multiplayer, even if you host it for yourself, the track recording becomes much more reliable. just an Fyi.
Edit, I may have a track of 4 of us launching in Tomcats of the super carrier which will be pretty good, it will be this launch at the start,
I'll take a look.

Unreal amount of wing flex there when rolling through the canyons, watching the pylons twist and bobble.
Man I need to get the Viper when it's on sale next, that visibility is unmatched.
Totally worth it, best plane to have a joy ride in!

The F-16 should normally be flared, as the landing-gear isn't designed up to Navy-specs.
I always thought so to, but I remember watching a Wags video when it first came out saying fly it on to the runway on AoA on speed.
Certainly in DCS you can, lol.

Nice screenshot, that F16 looks fantastic...😇

Tonight there were only 4 of us online.
Just wondering if any particular reason so we could perhaps change things to boost numbers
Is it;
good weather
missions
too many other nights flying
fed up with BoX
Other reasons
It is a shame to not have numbers on BoX nights and especially for a host to turn up for low numbers ,so would be good to try to get decent turnout for regular co-ops
Good weather and having to work my ass off because of!
That said, I personally tend to prioritise DCS over il2, I just enjoy it more myself, horses for courses.

I hope not too, that would be a great addition.
Getting the bombardiers position in the A20 modelled would be good too....
Agreed about the A20.
Sid, have you played much with the German bombers, JU88 and HE 111?
Sorry for thread sidetrack!

No hints yet Kev.....2 weeks apparently
I hope it hasn't quietly been shelved, have a strange affection for that plane!
Plus it gives something very different for the allies.

Has anyone who has been paying more attention than me, heard anything about the B25? I know it was the intention to make it flyable eventually...???

Being a Tomcat type, I can't help you with FLOLS, as I have no idea what it is.
You use the FLOLS with the Tomcat too...

Don't know how much this will help you or not Crash,
Although its in an F16, the same principles apply. You can see I put the velocity vector onto the area of the runway I want to land on, as I come out of the turn. Initially I'm to fast, so I chop the throttle, and as the speed bleeds of I slowly raise the nose, increasing the AoA but so that the velocity vector remains on the end of the runway.
Once the E bracket is in the middle of the velocity vector and that is still on the end of the runway, it is then simply a case of modulating the throttle to keep it all there, which will hold you on speed (in this case for an F16 @155 kn).
You don't flare modern jets, but fly them onto the ground on speed and on AoA.
As Tom has alluded to, the FLOLS is additional information to tell you whether above or below the glide slope. Above it chop power until on it maintaining AoA, below increase throttle doing the same until on it.
