  1. Hi crash,

First up, i use win vista 64, and i've heard that people with win 7 have problems with sans, but apparently the last beta version before the release candidate works better with win 7, but obviously i can't confirm....

Anway here's how i have my sans set up.

    First you need the lines

    [DeviceLink]

    port=1711

    in your conf.ini,

I have the sans settings set as thus,

    ScreenHunter_01Jul011256.jpg

    ScreenHunter_02Jul011257.jpg

And then use the hat switch on my x52 throttle mapped to,

    Alt X=up, Alt J=down, Alt O-=right and Alt H=left.

As you can see, i set the default to 101 fov, which exactly equates to wide fov on a 4:3 display, so when it starts (sometimes it will start of its own accord, sometimes i have to manually start it), or i have to force a restart, it automatically goes to wide view. Sometimes sans throws a hissy fit, and i have to restart it to correct weird stuff, but i can do this with just a flick of the hat switch.

In a night of co-ops, i would say that generally for one mission over the course of the evening Sans will be a pain in the ass, although i have found that i can generally get it working eventually during the flight by a combination of restating it over and over again, in conjunction with using the 'delete' 'end' and 'pgdown' butttons which are the il2 default fov views

The other 3 switches on the hat are mapped to equate wide, normal and gunsight views as they would be on a 4:3 display.

    NOTE,

When used in conjunction with 6 dof, when i zoom in by moving my head forward decreasing the fov, and then move my head back out, it will get stuck at normal view, hence why i have one of the hat switches set at default fov, in my case Alt H, and i quickly flick that switch to go back to wide fov as i move out, you can see this in the vid i posted if you look carefully.

I have the other 2 views mapped to keys, ie 'normal' which is 80 fov, and gunsight which is 55, so for the planes where 6dof and the gunsights dont work so well such as the fw190, i can just use the traditional gunsight button, and then use my hat switch on my throttle to zoom to the correct fov, that i desire.

Heres a vid of sans and 6dof being used in conjunction for those that missed it over at the zoo,

Hope this helps crash, if you have probs just post back here :thumbsu:

  2. Hey rattler, i notice from your update that you were coaching soccer football, is it the same in Canada as the US where lots of people play it at school at a young age and then move on to different sports as they get older?

    Oh, and what the hell?

someone need to explain to them what a draw is :laughing7:

  3. that sounds like you downloaded the patch from up2.0n to 2.01 rather than the full UP2.01 install, which is why the updater is running for hours, the link to the full install is here,

    UP link

and scroll about halfway down the page until you see this,

UP 2.01 Full Download is available for Torrent:

    UP 2.01 Full Torrent

UP 2.01 Full web downloads at Filefront *FIXED-UPDATED!*.

    Part 1

    Part 2

    Part 3

    Part 4

    Part 5

    Part 6

    Part 7

    Part 8

    Part 9

its a big package, 2gigs maybe off the top of my head. I personally would download it through the torrent, much less chance of any errors, and just leave it downloading overnight.

Its well worth the effort though.

  4. ahhh!

Yeah, the ubizoo (nickname for the ubi.com il2 forums), co-ops starts at @7:30-8:00ish the evening GMT, so afternoon for you, as Snacko says, i'm from the other side of the pond, sorry about that confusion.

Did you download the full UP2.01 on torrent, its by far the best way. You then need to install it over 4.09. As soon as you start the game you will know if UP has installed, as you will have a different loading splash screen, what does yours show?

  5. Did I,lol? Whats your ubi user name Major Mayhem?

Sat nights whoever is around flies on the ubizoo co-ops, which is open to everyone, and the teamspeak server details for that are posted in the satnight co-ops thread stickied at the top in the off-topic forum.

As the dogz we fly on a different teamspeak server, but i sure BG will be along in a bit with more details and info for you.

  6. I use this all the time for level bombing. You already have had this mod with UP. Put this at the bottom of your conf.ini file:

    [Mods]

    SpeedbarUnits=6

    SpeedbarTAS=1

These are my settings. The second one defaults the Speedbar to MPH when you start a mission. You can read up on these settings in the UP Docs file: ...\Ultr@PackDocs\HUDConfig_v1_README.txt

Also, enable the 00_HUDConfig_v1 mod 'after' he Zuti mod (if you are using Zuti).

Snacko's right, its already part of UP, and you enable it through jsgme, with the conf.ini changes he's written above (altough i just use the tas setting), i've been using it for ages, its good, you just cycle through with the toggle speedbar button, and it gives you 3 more displays, including tas/khm.

  7. you need to delete your cookies from whichever internet browser you're using for the ubi site, as they've changed the login page, then it will work, except the bloody 'remember me' box doesn't seen to work anymore, i have to re login every time i visit, :growl:

  8. that's part of the 3d model, I guess in the 'e' wing the cannon must have sat further back than in the 'c' wing. All the 'e' wing spits have a shorter hispano barrel. Looking at the model closer, the blisters appear to be further back on the wing too.

Edit, yep thats what it was, see here, gun in a different place, and futher back with different fairings on the 'e' wing designation.

  9. Hi guys, thought i'd share two skins i've just done for myself, i say done, made alterations to two of kristoffs excellent skins is more accurate, 99% of credit is due to him.

It came to my attention, that while i had loads of decent skins for the MkIXc, i didn't have any good ones for the IXe in recent co-ops, and couldn't find any i liked that much to download, so i set about changing a couple of mkIXc skins to e types, based on two of kristoffs skins.

first removed the 303 ejection ports, plus the 303 gunsmoke stains,

    0706201016-04-34.jpg

and added correct ejection ports for the 50's,

    0706201016-01-48.jpg

again removed the 303 gunsmoke stains on the upper wing, plus the red markers for the 303's,

    0706201016-04-54.jpg

    to leave

    0706201016-02-11.jpg

This is now my default spit MkIXe skin, also did the same to another skin which has full markings (the markings above are from matmanager), so when i fly co-ops, i don't have to have american markings on my spit, lol,

    0706201016-22-30.jpg

    0706201016-22-58.jpg

anyway, there uploaded to the vault,

    cheers fruitbat
