don't worry GK, its because the computers they were supplied at the expo only had 2 gigs memory, which is the min specification for win 7, duh!
apparently oleg wasn't to chuffed.
by the way the machines were i5's with nvidia460's in them, so nothing super computer ish. they just needed a load more ram.

Hi Snacko,
just wanted to say a big thanks for all your work and effort gone into these, the airbases are awesome
some of us played a few of these earlier on toads server (he's got them up already) and had a blast.
led to the hilarious sound of about 6 of us in formation(ish) in panthers going to get the bridges at Toki-Ri with TOAD playing the topgun soundtrack down teamspeak
-
Hi TOAD, get it here, then add the files at the top of this thread
plus some info on it here,

ok, go to tools in QMT, and qmt prefs,
and your install will be
C:\games\
also, when in qmt, click the directory button bottom left.
it wont shown any missions in the coop folder, cause they aren't in there, you have to go into the subfolders where the missions are kept for them to display in qmt.
-
the best way to check the correct path is to navigate to the co-op folder, and look at the path at the top of the window, as shown in the red box for me,
then make sure the QMT path is the same.
-
link no work for me, 'this web page is unavailable'
-
Tried to get QMT working in my new build. It installs ok and gived me the usual screen but when I try to navigate to C:Games/Mission/ Net/ Coops. No missions come up in the menu.
Any ideas?
Is that path correct BG, shouldn't it be c:/Games/IL-2 Sturmovik 1946/missions/net/coops

Feeling a bit more optimistic today!
Helen and I went down to see the Inconologists yesterday. They had just found out that fluid buildup is one of the side effects of the drug trial! I had a bone scan done(It takes 5 hours) and have to go back down next week. If the bone scan looks ok they will restart me on the "wonder" drug trial and closely monitor me for more fluid build up. Now that I am on direutics, I feel better every day.
Really good news, glad for you BG
-
ahh, i bet you fell for the old touch button on the bottom right corner that turns it off, from standby, which i to didn't know was there when i first accidentally pressed it moving my monitor, and thought i'd broken it, grrrrr
-
i apologise for my absence, but had been suffering with bloody flu all weekend and just couldn't produce the concentration required. Was really pissed off, but i guess thats life. Glad everyone seems to of had a great time, and thanks to friar for organising yet another great event.
special apology to painless, but it was much fun practising anyways, really enjoyed it.
kudos to the dogz for ensnaring another member to, lol.
-
longshot i know, but have you tried resetting cmos?
-
Hi Chris, met you at a very soggy shoreham this year with fenrir, welcome to flying with the dogz

Fenrir' timestamp='1287848970' post='84581']
On another note, can I ask humbly for permission for a friend to join us? His names Chris, flies under the callsign Bear - he's not a dog, but a few of you met him at Duxford this year, Fruitbat met him at Shoreham and he flew with us a coupla times many moons ago. He's itching to join us and is practising his Mosquito display as we speak!
Yep, he'd fit in well here

well, after reading up on it myself, i'm going to get one, its only £8.50, and its not going to make it worse...
if you read up on the spiel, it won't be of benefit if
2. Do you have a master telephone socket with a horizontal line across the front? The I-Plate is NOT suitable if:
your socket has a horizontal line, but also an Openreach logo on it - this socket has an I-Plate filter built in.
your socket doesn't have a horizontal line across the front
your socket has two connection points - for telephone and DSL
from here,

however none of that applies to me. its got pretty good user reviews.
thanks for the heads up, lol
-
Really sorry to hear that BG, glad your starting to feel a bit better.
hope they can sort out the issue fully on tuesday, when you have those tests.
-

i booted from my caddie by plugging it in via usb, and then booting from usb device in bios.
-
get a hard drive caddie, stick in any spare internal hard drive you have, and plug into laptop via usb.
plenty here on display,
http://www.ebuyer.com/store/Components/cat/Hard-Drive-Accessories/subcat/Caddies-&-Enclosures
now you've got a big memorystick!
I just got myself one that supports up to 1 terabyte sataII hard drives, and can be connected either by usb, firewire, and even better eSATA
