The abbey is called Roche Abbey, was built by Cistertian monks in 1170-1180, and was far more extensive than what is left. The engineering of it is staggering, considering the gatehouse and the two main towers still stand after 900 years and an artillery barrage.

I guess they only do that kinda thing in the states. If you had a minigun at home in Sweden, you would have a swat team in your backyard.
And I think she was wearing a bra, BG. A black one I think.

U571 is to submarine warfare (and the enigma) as Mel Brooks' Men in Tights was for Robin Hood.

A underwater fight would be close to impossible due to a number of issues
A) The torpedoes were designed to run just below to surface (could be programmed slightly lower)
The targeting of torpedoes was an exercise in trigonometry, and observation of the target (speed course and angle of bow) were needed to calculate the launch. Acoustic torpedoes were used by the germans, but never used in a large scale, and were quite unpredicatble.
C) the amount of compressed air needed to launch a torpedo while submerged lower than a few meters is staggering.
Surface encounters did occurr however, but rather rare.

Quite an interesting fellow, mr Maddox. 60% of features is not that bad, means most of the work is done. It is a very good time to be a simnut these days.

the wedding one scares the heck out of me. oh dear ugly.

I think both of them are good enough for my purposes, general gaming. It cannot be worse than my present laptop. The Dell has 200hz faster RAM and a faster yet smaller HDD, yet the ASUS has a souped up 1 gig Gfx card.
-
I have yet to determine wheter to go for the dell or the Asus, both are the same price, yet the Dell has a better hardrive and ddr3 RAM, while the Asus has a better Gfx card. Decisions Decisions...

If I had some spare money, I'd help out. Ever since I saw Thunderball as a kid, I always liked the Vulcan.

Seen this in text format a few times, still a good joke.

Read this a few days ago. Things might get a bit rough over the next year or two, but according to most economical theoriest, handles delicatly, things could bounce back quite quickly (relative concept I suppose) I do not really like the China link though put forth in the article.

LEDs are very cheap, built my entire setup for less than 20$, including the camera. 5-10 leds should run you about lessthan 5$. I got mine for the equivalent of 3$, all you need to do is sand them flat and your are done.
All you need is some basic (very) about elecric currents.

Beware, a lot of identity theft bastards are lurking facebook, only add people you know as they will be able to access quite a lot of information about you, including what you write and what pictures you are included in.
This very ... shapely female seems to be bait (get it?) for unwary users.

Caught torrenting are we? (Utorrent is an excellent program)

My setup is on the freetrack thread, the benefits are that ambient lighting is negliable, unlike reflectors. Although I have to wear a cap (dont answer the door in it...) and use a AA battery every 2 weeks (jabo has his USB-wired I believe)

Now if you could tame that thing, and keep it as a pet, life would be awesome. Great way to deal with people who knock on your door.

Cromwell didn't treat it very well, a number of monuments were destroyed at the time. A shame really, as the building would have been quite impressive at its height.
