  1. The abbey is called Roche Abbey, was built by Cistertian monks in 1170-1180, and was far more extensive than what is left. The engineering of it is staggering, considering the gatehouse and the two main towers still stand after 900 years and an artillery barrage.

  2. A underwater fight would be close to impossible due to a number of issues

    A) The torpedoes were designed to run just below to surface (could be programmed slightly lower)

    B) The targeting of torpedoes was an exercise in trigonometry, and observation of the target (speed course and angle of bow)  were needed to calculate the launch. Acoustic torpedoes were used by the germans, but never used in a large scale, and were quite unpredicatble.

    C) the amount of compressed air needed to launch a torpedo while submerged lower than a few meters is staggering.

Surface encounters did occurr however, but rather rare.

  3. I think both of them are good enough for my purposes, general gaming. It cannot be worse than my present laptop. The Dell has 200hz faster RAM and a faster yet smaller HDD, yet the ASUS has a souped up 1 gig Gfx card.

  4. I have yet to determine wheter to go for the dell or the Asus, both are the same price, yet the Dell has a better hardrive and ddr3 RAM, while the Asus has a better Gfx card. Decisions Decisions...

  5. Read this a few days ago. Things might get a bit rough over the next year or two, but according to most economical theoriest, handles delicatly, things could bounce back quite quickly (relative concept I suppose) I do not really like the China link though put forth in the article.

  6. Beware, a lot of identity theft bastards are lurking facebook, only add people you know as they will be able to access quite a lot of information about you, including what you write and what pictures you are included in.

This very ... shapely female seems to be bait (get it?) for unwary users.
