Yes, Ovy. Hope you have a great christmas and a spanking new year and we'll see you soon I hope!

Whilst the rest of the UK has snow, here in the south-west its raining (yawn) but as an added bonus the rain washes away all the salt and grit they lay on the roads and then freezes over night and hey presto! Bowling with automobiles the next morning.

-41 and a blizzard sounds wildly exciting if you live in a place where for 360 days of the year this is what you see when you look out of the window
Got any pics of the snow?

Do you still have a seperate, clean install of 4.09 unmodded so you can fly Ubizoo coops on Saturday, Largie?

Thanks BG, I get it. Have read before that flashing can be risky!!

I expect there are newer chipset and bios drivers around for my board but is it worth updating them? I understood there was some risk involved in updating the bios?

Hold your horses....! I get a lucky shot once in a while,
Salute m8. I saw you coming round on me and started turning, thinking "no chance, Swep".

I saw that happen, Arthur.

This looks exactly what Sweper did to me tonight in my beloved Dora (sob)

Thankyou for this Tribunus. I found the pictures of the cemeteries very moving. Good to see the Commonwealth wargraves commission is still keeping up the good work.
My late fathers elder brother John, who is still very much alive and kicking and lives in Perth, in Western Australia was in the 2nd. Battalion, The Hampshire regiment and landed at Algiers as part of operation Torch in November 1942.
I think that sixty-seven years ago today, or perhaps tomorrow, he was seriously wounded at a village called Tebourba in an action that earned the battalion the name "the Tebourba Tigers." His company commander was awarded the VC for his part in this action.
They say that the desert war was a 'war without hatred.' Sounds rather trite, I know. But my uncles life was saved by a sgt. of Panzer Grenadiers who found

Smash m8, you're gonna have to take the plunge and get a copy of windows xp. Like I said earlier, check out e-bay but also be aware of what Snacko said. Check the sellers e-bay rating and you should not have a problem.
What you'll get off e-bay is the windows xp disc that came with a computer from a shop. It will install ok and be perfectly legit. You will have to register this within 30 days but it will be fine. We can talk you through this on t/s if required.
Good luck. Looking forward to being shotdown by you already

No, the other Prince of Darkness. A certain Mr. Osbourne? And no, I don't mean George.
Er....John Osbourne, the playwright? 'Look back in Anger' and all that sort of thing? Jabo m8, I'm impressed!
Wait a minute, you mean Ozzie, the bloody Budgie-biter don't you?

I'd love to go back to the Intrepid Fox in Camden - met the Prince of Darkness there back in the 80's
Jabo
? Er...Peter Mandelson!?

Went down town this morning with my youngest to the 'chocolate button shop' to buy a paper and, er....chocolate buttons. These things are important when you're four years old! Called into the charity shop next door as it's always a good source of second hand books and this was just sitting there saying "buy me, buy me!"
It was a quid! It's 1/32 scale! Just could'nt resist it! I also could'nt manage to smuggle it back indoors without my wife noticing either. She now thinks I've gone totally insane. Apparently this, along with sitting in front of my pc wearing a funny hat, headphones, gripping joystick, shouting, laughing, singing happy birthday to my pc.....its just more confirmation that I'm going ga-ga in my middle age!
