  1. BG... I don't have the proper words to express how I feel right now .. but I pray that you are able to read this and know that you are loved by all who you've touched over the years with your warmth and friendly demeanor ..

I remember when I first started with the Dogs and how you helped me work through the game .. learning how to play it and how you always held the game or restarted for me if I was to come in a little late ... I will never forget your kindness and pray that you will recover to hit that "fly" button again.

They say you can tell a man's worth by the amount of friends he has .. BG, you are the wealthiest man I know and I am all the richer for having you as my friend

I will see you again , that I am sure of .. keep a seat for me in the ready room and we'll share a cup of tea before firing up the Spits and heading out on Patrol

Oh and one last thing ... PISS OFF BG !!! lol

    I love you Jimmy

    Thanks for everything

    John

  2. A perfect day for the show .. perfect pictures... beautiful planes .. good friends ... tall tales and lots of beer I'm sure ... the only thing missing from this event being as perfect as anything could be ? ... My presence ...lol :)

Maybe next year boys ..maybe next year

  3. Thanks Artie,

Less than 100 miles from where I live and I've never been to the Air Show (EAA) Didn't see any Spits or Hurris like Duxford and I still think the "baddest" looking plane is an F-4 Phantom.

    Pooka

I've heard that Oshkosh is one of the biggest and you're right I didn't see any Spits or Hurricane's either... but there were a few war birds on static display I noticed them when I scrolled through a couple of times..

See you tonight on Badaims server

    Artie

Impressive!, I'll have to add that one to my bucket list.

If I had the money that's what I would do for one year ... travel to all of the airshows I could get to ... that would be a great trip ..

  4. Another fine flying night with the WarHawks. A good turn out again tonight. We were 11 pilots at one point. Propnut was hosting and we all had an excellent time fighting and admiring the beautiful country sight. Thank you again Propnut for hosting and to the WarHawks for allowing the DDs to participate in this ROF flying event. :thumbsu:

    MT

Thanks MT, it is great that we are starting to get more DD pilots to join us for RoF. Eventually I would like to get a regular DD event going on our own TS3 server and invite the Warhawks to fly with us! lol.

    David

I would like to thank the War hawks for having us included in their Monday night Sorties... once I figure out my settings I'll b able to help out up there rather than watch the base from my cockpit ..lol

  5. WH_Gustang has posted screenshots from our co-op mission last Monday night, check them out! (I am the one in the obnoxious yellow DR-1, lol)

    David

Installed and updated the game last night and flew in a mission, lots of fun although still learning how to set up my controls , Thank God Track IR works in here ...

    :)

Way to go Arty :) hey we'll get together for a few mission whenever we happen to be on TS together !!

    MT

    sounds good

    :)

  6. Yes Thanks for the flights. It was a lot of fun flying ROF in coop with a lot of people. The Dogz were well represented (Propnut,BadAim,TOAD and myself). We had a great time. Artie, if you like ww1 aircrafts you will certainly like this one. Check the hardware requirements to see if your machine can handle it and if you can, I suggest you buy the ROF Iron Cross Edition. It comes full game with more aircrafts then the original ROF game. The graphics in this sim is awsome.

    MT

I ended up ordering the game for 39.99 from a computer store up here... by the time the exchange and shipping is added in, the cost would be a push... and I get it tomorrow , and that's worth a lot to me :)

If you could send the TS and server info to me I would appreciate it

    Thanks

    Artie

I do not mean to argue with you MT, but Artie, you can get RoF for 14.90 (the Iron Cross Edition is 49.99) which comes with only 4 of the 8 planes that the Iron Cross edition does. You can then purchase any of those planes for 7.62 each (which means you purchase just the ones you want...I recommend the SE5a, DR1 and Camel). You get the Fokker DVII, Albatros DVa, Spad 13, and Neiuport 28 with the game. The Iron Cross Edtion (ICE) gives you the Spad XIII, Fokker D.VII, Albatross D.Va, Nieuport 28, SE.5a, Pfalz D.IIIa, Sopwith Camel and Fokker Dr.1. 14.90 plus the addon planes would be a total of 37.76.The Pfalz DIIIa I am not familiar with, as few people I have played with use it. The two versions are exactly the same otherwise. ICE is repackaged to add a few planes and reintroduce the game to the public after a year of Beta testing (lol). For 14.90, if you find you do not like the game after all, you are not out much.

here is the link to Gogamer.com and the sale (currently 57 hours to go).

problem is .. I live in Canada and I don't think they ship up here .. is this game in the stores? Toad says it's two years old?
