  1. Like LOL and shit, right?
  2. JP, seems to have a bit of a distorted view of my own level of conservatism. Isn't that right JP? You do remember that I know where you live, right JP? RIGHT?
  3. This has happened before, and hyperlobby is still here. Just sayin'
  4. I'm on episode 4. Very nice basic instructions so far. Good find, mate.

    Road Trip

Thanks mate, I hope one day to go there too. Your photography is excellent BTW. Should I one day make it to the Holy Land, I'll look you up.
  6. One of the boys from Check six visited the Maddox games studio and has a lot of interesting things to say about it: http://www.checksix-fr.com/articles/Art ... xy_EN.html Enjoy

    QMB Pro

    .45 works for me.

    QMB Pro

First, you shouldn't be using JSGME for any mods that weren't designed for it. I'm not sure about replacing the version of qmb pro that comes with UP, but I just used my Mods folder. The "QMBProPAL" folder should be in the Mods folder. The "Quicks" folder goes in the main IL2 folder. The "Quick" folder (the one with the missions ) goes in the mission folder. It still requires some manipulation of the Map files in the "Quicks" folder to get full functionality. I really enjoy this mod, but it aint for the feint of heart.
  9. LOL, I know what you mean. The simple fact of the matter is that no more than 50% of the people out there doing anything are actually competent, personally I think its more like 20% (the 80-20 principal), but I try to be optimistic. I personally don't hang out with locksmiths much either, most of the ones I've met are imbeciles, there's only two or three I'd send my customers to. I still find it amazing that with the Dogz, we have managed to find such a diverse group of people that seem to have a higher than average IQ. Or is it that I like to think that people I like must be smarter than average? Naaaaah, Dogz are just smart.
  10. I've never had the pleasure of hearing either the Vulcan or the SR71, but my guess is its hard to beat a Harrier hovering in close proximity. (I don't think this is to far off topic, a discussion of the Who naturally lends itself to a consideration of the loudest things on the planet.)
  11. This absolutely proves that education does not equal intelligence. ....and that passing the bar exam apparently equals neither.
  12. Just kidding! My tastes run a bit harder too. (that didn't come out right) But my musical tastes tend to run with my mood. (Mercurial to say the least).
  13. Now that's a Rube Goldberg!
  14. Some of the guy's were talking about the pictures of the tents with all the bodies around them. They look to me like Japanese soldiers, probably wounded that committed suicide with grenades rather than be captured, hence the mutilated bodies and the shrapnel holes in the tents. This was common practice in the pacific. Awesome photos.
  15. Painless asked for more info on this book, so here it is. It's called "the 8th Air Force Lottery", and it's written by a 31 mission survivor in the co-pilot's seat of a B17 during the time of D-Day (he actually flew nearly a dozen missions in direct support of the invasion). Harold Rochette is in no danger of winning a pulitzer, but the story is engaging enough that I had trouble putting it down. History buffs will also find several mistakes in the parallel history that he provides throughout the book, but they're overshadowed by the story. Looks like Amazon has some in stock for anyone interested. http://www.amazon.com/8th-Force-Lottery-Harold-Rochette/dp/1412076307
  16. YEAH BABY! That's firepower. I should think keeping that pace up for any length of time would wear a crew out pretty quick, even young guys.
  17. Thou Shalt not bash the Who. It's in the scriptures, heathens.

  19. There is no doubt that Dehavilland knew how to build a purty aeroplane, the Mosquito is probably my fave as far as looks go. Hell, even when they set out to build the aerial equiralent of a half ton pickup truck they came up with this:
  20. LOL, what is that a commercial for anyway?
  21. Still haven't seen it. Didn't buy Modern Warfare 2 either.
