  1. Yep, that's the one. Excellent all around camera too.......
  2. I would have kicked the living shit out of it and then crapped in the case.. LOL!! I wish I could fly with you Badaim. Life just isn't having any of it. I came close. Me too, I'm kinda in the same boat, I'm not around much either, which just makes it all the more frustrating when I have stupid computer problems.
  3. Oh, yeah everything's fine now except the reason why the damn thing crashed in the first place. It seems what happened is that the BIOS reset itself at the crash, which I'm used to, but it also set the primary drive as the secondary drive while it was at it. In my BIOS, for some reason you have to set the drive priority in a separate "Hard Disk" section then only the primary drive shows up in the "Boot Order" section. I either forgot about this or just never noticed. I'm glad I didn't panic and do something drastic before I sat down and went through the problem calmly and methodically. C'est la vie
  4. Crazy &*^%$*& computer! I had to reassign my primary drive as the 1st drive in order for it to show up in the boot order list. What the *(&^%$ ! I really should just expect this crap by now.
  5. The reason I didn't come back was my computer wouldn't start. Apparently my primary drive is borked cause the computer won't even recognize it. Crap.
  6. No different from any other news media IMO. They're all a bunch of idiots.
  7. AHHHH, you Brits just want to keep all the Spitfire goodness for yourselves!
  8. "But why does everyone have to drive 300km to get to the conference?"
  9. Doncha' just love this stuff? Great find mate, thanks for sharing. I enjoyed every moment.
  10. Yep can't be beat. Especially when your threatening to rip out your opponents eye out and skull fuck him to death. I mean, he just might be wondering if you're properly equipped.
  11. I thought it was only the Brits that celebrated their defeats. Takes a hearty people. Those guns look pretty modern for that era, if that's what the Danes were equipped with it's no wonder a beat down ensued. I assume you guys built up a real army and proceeded to kick some Danish ass at a more convenient time later?

Absolutely stunning. I'm so glad you guys are OK. Things could so easily have gone differently. I'm drinking a toast to my four stalwart com padre's and their guardian angel right now.
  13. One thing I would add here is you need a camera with a good framerate to be effective with freetrack. My first camera was way to slow, and freetrack worked like crap with it. I then went out and got the camera for PS3, which is made for motion capture work and it really works good. I am still using the headset clip setup, but I can see where the cap would work better. I'm just not sure I want to be tethered to my seat by two different devices! PPS: if you by LED's that don't have a visible light, do yourself a favor and get an extra visible led so that you won't forget to turn your clip of several times in a row and start burning out LED's.
  14. I've decided that this should be talk like a pirate week 'cause one day 'o piratin' just ain't enough. Arrrrrr.
  15. Arrrrr! I be glad that this fine day not be lost all togetherrrrr. Especially in considerrration of all the pain that the past few months have brought to this here collection of ne'er do wells, scallywags and and scurvy dogz. Hoist up yer tankards and toast our Skipper in the manner that he'd sore be wantin'. It'd sure be painin' his soul to find us takin' oursel's to serious like, now wouldn't it?
  16. Me hearty, Skoshi Tiger over at ye banana forrrrrums has been so kind as to point out that it be talk like a pirate day today. Be ye not a scurvy dog and miss such a day!
  17. I've read Forgotten Soldier and consider it one of the finest personal accounts of the life of a soldier I have ever read. As for all the controversy, It is very easy to discount. I have talked to dozens upon dozens of veterans of WWII, and almost without exception I know way more about their theaters of action than they do. For the most part, these guys were not career soldiers and they have very little knowledge outside of their own training and experiences. Whatever historical perspective most of these guys have in relationship to their service was obtained after the war. Their personal perspective, on the other hand is invaluable.......only they can tell you what it felt like. I'm sure Tribunus can elaborate. There are several of the other books I intend to read. (especially the one on Napoleon)
  18. Just when I though this place couldn't get any stranger............
  19. OT, if you're running a 32 bit system you don't want to run the 4gig address space option, that's only for 64 bit. That could be your problem right there.
  20. Good call, I'd consider a recommendation from Funflak and Painless to be a good indication that Catch22 is of appropriately shady character and possesses the the necessary low moral standards to fit in quite well around here. If you'd never join a club that would have you mate, you'll fit right in here. Have a Sheep and a Beer on me!
  21. Vote in. Nice work guys. Very sharp, now I just have to learn how to fly that nasty little bugger.
  22. Hey, where did you guy's get that footage of one of my motivational speeches? But seriously, I have way more guns than that guy.
