    Hello

~S~ Ammodawg , glad to have you aboard !! So you shot Delta7 down did you, good start, keep up the good work sir !! LMAO Just kidding Dave
  5. ~S~ Rog, have you considered flying JABO, sounds like your a natural M8 !!! LMAO ~S~ Brainless. @ Colin... ha ha ha !
  6. ~S~ GK, I remember building that exact same kit when I was in Singapore, aged 8, (that would be 1969 !! LOL). I had just been taken to see "The Battle of Britain" by my step dad so it had to be done. Funny thing is, (as with alot of the Airfix kits), they used the same box/packet art for over 30 years !! Happy building M8 !! ~S~ Timeless.
  7. ~S~ BG, you do realise if 9/11 had occurred in London we would undoubtedly have been on "bloody annoyed" for at least six months !! ~S~ Painless
  8. ~S~ Rog, thats going to be EVEN harder to get past Siobhan than the min £5000 for my PPL !!
  9. ~S~ Rog, WOOOOOOOW just seen this post M8. OK, so, the USAAF were wussies right ? LOL The HumVee wouldn't start right ? That should provoke a response !!! HE HE HE
  10. ~S~ Chaps, Just a little known fact of interest M8s....You know the Spits Merlin was hampered during the Battle of Britain by its SU carburettors starving the engine of fuel when going through any -ve G manoeuvre right. Well a female engineer called Miss Shilling came up with a stop gap solution......
  11. ~S~, Merlins everywhere !! MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM Merlins !! Nice pics indeed
  12. ~S~ JP , looks like a great place to visit, (maybe one day soon ) ~S~ Painless
  13. ~S~ Pete, breaks your heart M8. Hope the guys in a better place. ~S~ Mick.
  14. ~S~ Chaps, Crash, I understand your outrage M8 !!! LMAO Tonar sir, its like calling an American a Canadian or vice versa, but NOT as bad as calling a New Zealander an Australian !! LOL Bbloke, excellent post, didn't Know half of that stuff !! Thanks. Looks like a regular K9s adventure on HL is a go then , excellent ! ~S~ Painless
  15. ~S~ Frior M8, yup I reckon it was pretty much a big success. I really enjoyed winging with you a couple of times even though I'm not sure you realised that was what we were doing !! LMAO As Delta said , when we went in as a group with good comms we did alot better . The majority of the boyz were on the same side for the majority of the time and when anyone fancied a change it was no problem to swap because the side balance allowed it no problem ! It was also cool ,(for those of us who rarely visit Hyperlobby), to not rely on the "crutch" of long icons. Men of the match .....Klinger and Rattler, (over 1000 points each) wahoo What say you chaps....make it e regular feature of our week ?? ~S~ Painless PS. it was GREAT to see Quazi join us again
  16. ~S~ Chaps, you know it always makes my spirits soar to see just how helpful you guys are to each other. What a great squad ! If only the rest of the world were half as decent !! (Sorry , was feeling a little philosophical this morning)
  17. ~S~ Dave , looks great M8. Have you considered a silk varnish to give a scale shine ? Remember that 1/48th Spit I did a while ago ? That was brush painted but was finished with a small aerosol silk varnish which gave it an airbrushed quality final coat. Can was about £5.00 I think. ~S~ Painless
  18. ~S~ Dave, VERY nice indeed M8 . Maybe a few scale 20mm holes in the wings for realism !! LOL ~S~ Painintheass.
  19. ~S~ chaps, getting decals to "suck down" onto surfaces is a bitch. That micro sol twin pack is very good normally but a little trick I used to use, (when I had an air brush!) was to varnish the whole plane, post painting, with gloss varnish and let it dry for 48 hrs. This does two things, it prevents the colours "smudging" when touched and gives e very smooth surface to apply decals to. Once done the weathering can be applied followed by an all over coat of silk varnish to give a good "scale effect" If, like me, you don't have an airbrush at the moment you can still use the same method with a brush, but NOT with thinned down varnish because it may well remove the paint !! Canopy parts stay in the box untill the rest of the kit is completely finnished if possible
  20. ~S~ Chaps, Nice post Delta (the B and Z one ), agreed with every dam word of it M8 ! @ Mobius , hey no worries M8, everyone should always talk about the good times AND the bad because we are a tight nit squad and close enough to express ourselves freely and with respect right ! Sunday night it seemed that I could hardly put a foot wrong , gunnery was spot on.....points to a ping of "0" being a good thing right !! LOL ~S~ Painless
