  1. No problem. Video is a HOG, nomatter how you slice it. I will host stuff on third party sites when needed. If I am able to really get a bunch of stuff done, I'll look into setting up a site to host it, which I can then link to...
  2. Frior, Thank you. I had seen this site somewhere, but for some reason I could not get it to work(?). Anyway, it works now and it will be of great help. Thanks.
  3. Roger, Thanks. I just wanted to make sure there wasn't a major issue. I am just getting to learn about resolution/compression and how they interact, so I need to take note of any problems. BTW, is that 10,000mb per month, I assume? I agree we are still pretty low, but then, it did not take too much to get close to 1000. Yikes! Jim, Like I said, this video was work-safe. Others....Broo-hah-hah! As it was, my boss took said something like, "Thank God for the girlscouts!" I think he was a little nervous viewing the first part of it. Heh!
  4. Roger, Thanks. But, did you see alot of artifacting, like smears or tears? The version I have is actually pretty clean, although I don't think I viewed it at that resolution. Let me check myself, Glenn suddenly thinks... Huh, that damn thing won't play on my computer at CNN, AGAIN, even though it play at home. Let me know if anyone else has issues with the clip. I may need to send a different copy. ****** Okay, the reason it would not play at CNN was that the PC did not have the Divx codec, which is what I used to compress it. Works now.

  6. Okay, I sent it to Roger via usendit. I have looked at it in both Realplayer and WMP and it seems to play out fine at home. A little background may be in order, though. I did this as a going away present for Lori, a co-worker who is leaving us to work for the Girl Scouts. Thus, its a bit of an inside joke, although the storyline's simple enough. Someone mentioned making a photo of Lori bailing out of a plane to me, and I thought, "Hmmm, I've got a better idea." Her's is the only face you see other than my ugly mug in the B-25. Hope you like it. Glenn P.S. I will look into posting other video's offsite when I make them, as I realize it could cream our bandwith limits. Because of the use of company logo's and the fact people at work know I made this, I would prefer not to post it publicly. (Yes, I know that a file unleashed is like a virus, but at least I have plausible deniability...)
  7. Yeah, I lost one previously. Now I am pretty careful to keep track of it. It's too handy...
  8. That's just FAN-tastic. And where is the "26 Hours in a day" add-on I have been waiting for? I only recently got out of FPSs, and now they try to pull me back in! Must...resist...urge to...take...headshot... Seriously, this is giving me agita...
  9. Sorry Dave, Ditto, nor much flying beyond Thursday hosting, which explains my level of skill. It's not been a lack of interest but the press of other issues on my time.
  10. Arrrghhh! I'll have to send it from home this afternoon. The flash drive I put a copy of the final version on is giving me an error message. It may need to be reformatted.
  11. Okay, Roger, I finished my movie, and using Divx, I got the 4 and a half minutes to squeeze into 62MB. Are we able to host that, or should I put it on a 3rd party site. Either is fine with me, but does anyone have a suggestion which site would work best?
  12. Whaddya say about his mother?!?
  13. "I for, for one, wish to welcome our new reptilian overlords, and as a trusted propaganda officer, will assist them in recruiting other humans for work on the fly farms..."
  14. You get a maximum of 136 FPS? No wonder I have such a hard time shooting you down! Your plane is traveling into the future even as you fly!!!
  15. Thanks Roger. I am hoping there will be no issues (I've waited long enough for this) and want to spot any problems early so I can yell and scream and get it fixed. Finger crossed...
  16. The last helicopter sim I played pretty regularly was "Hind" which I freakin' LOVED! It was the first sim I flew which had individual ground troops to strafe. SWEET! And the fact that you could land in the middle of a mission and reload was great. Landing was a real task, though.
  17. My new rig is coming this week (supposedly). I'll list full stats later, but its a AMD Dual Core 4400+, 2GB RAM, Nvidea 7800 with 250GB Hard Drive. In addition to being much more of an editing machine, I am hoping it will make hosting that much smoother. Can anyone recommend some utilities to put the PC through its paces to make sure its put together properly? For example, to make sure the memory is not defective, etc... Thanks.
  18. The post above is from me. It would not let me start the topic with my own screen name. So, do I need help?
  19. This needs to be on the briefing screen of every mission hosted in the squadron!
  20. Wow, that last image really shows the weathering effect. I wonder how much of a pain it was to get that effect?
  21. Well, seeing as how I am the propaganda officer, I think I should do some propagandizing and all that. Here is the first in my series to help boost morale:
