  2. Some of you have been asking how the grass is coming. We are very happy how well it has taken.
  3. Great read pup. I enjoyed it very much.
  4. Link doesn't work for me Sid.
  5. uhh...I think his name is Streak. He is in our squad. Kelly I think pain-in-the-ass meant the dawg on the left.
  6. Thanks Arthur. I am going to enjoy listening to a few episodes once again.
  7. I miss listening to the radio too Arthur. During the war years I used to listen to Dick Barton Special Agent and his trustworthy sidekick Jock. Then when I was in boarding school we were allowed to listen to the radio but no comics. The wife saw my car satellite radio today for the first time and, of course, she also wants it in her car..
  8. They were very clever and quite funny.
  9. Bruce Springsteen is one of the channels on the satellite radio. I am looking forward to my next long road trip.
  10. As a general rule, in the area I live we get lousy radio reception. I decided to look into Satellite Radio today. I picked up a radio (Sirius Starmate 5) from Radio Shack for $60 and had it installed by a local garage for another $40. The monthly subscription cost for 130 radio channels is $15 and it took me no time to activate the satellite radio There is a great cross section of music, sports and news. There are hits from the 40's, 50's, right up to today and four separate jazz stations. BBC world and CNN. Most of you guys live in big cities and have access to lots of boring stations but for those who live in the boonies, like I do, I can highly recommend satellite radio.
  11. I don't think Flack visits that often but happy birthday anyway mate.
  12. Usual high quality pics Swep. Well done. Looks like a nice lean city.
  13. Fine by me Gec mate but I think you meant to say poll.

There are three distinct possibilities here. Jim could be really looking forward to Christmas, he could be drunk, or he could be looking at three prostitutes.

  15. Well, I decided to rebuild the road with more gravel and try again. This time, I think I got it right! I am in the process of throwing up a berm and once that is done, I will dig in a steel 20" culvert. If I can get the berm high enough, it should be a nice deep pond. Did someone mention peat moss? Now that is the mother of all rocks!
  16. Here is a picture of the new pond I have just completed. The main pond will empty into this one. By next spring, it will have flooded right to the top so the island is just visible. And the new grass is doing well.
  17. It was really scary when it started sliding sideways and leaned over. Thought I was going in for sure. The dogs came back when the cursing stopped. I have just completed another big, deep pond with an island and hope to do some more work on the main pond. I have to complete a couple of berms, install some culverts and start flooding it. I'll post more pics in the next couple of days. I'll also post a pic of the new grass. It really has come on in just over a week.
