  1. How important is it to book reservations early on this? I'm planning on invading your island next year, never been to England before, so I'm already rehearsing driving on the left side over here.

Yes, dry sump lubrication is a really good idea for any vehicle that put g-forces to use. No sideffects other than keeping that oil tank topped off. Dry sumping it is also a result of the design though, it's impossible to use a wet sump on that engine config all together. Found a page that shows how many types of aircraft that used the DB engines: http://www.wehrmacht-history.com/manufacturers/daimler-benz-ag-manufacturer.htm I remember reading somewhere that the 109 wasn't even designed around teh DB engines at all. Models A,B,C and D was intended to use the Jumo 210 engines. Still inverted V12's but much smaller capacity. Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Junkers_Jumo_210

Sounds fun! I'd love to climb around on a Messerscmidt sometime. There are many theories about the reason to why they inverted the DB600's. Many believe that they did it because of the center cannon but that cannon mount came after the engines were designed and tested, so the centre mounted cannon is more of a result from the engine design than vice versa. They also used the DB600--> engines on other aircraft models like the BF-110 and the HE-111 etc. Primarily the engine was designed as a lightweight high performance engine. Why it's inverted I have no idea but looking at these two pictures, you might get an idea to one of the reasons: Although, Adolf Galland and Gunther Rall tested both Spitfires and 109's, and both of them said that forward view was equally poor on both aircrafts. Another reason might be that the prop hub(center of rotational mass) came closer to the center of the airframe, but that would leave the crank. The crank is still high, and coupled to the prop via gear drives, although it does call for a narrower engine cowling up where the pilot might wanna see around it. I'll research some more and see if I can find anything more useful than theries about it.
  5. That's one of the coolest jobs I have ever seen. Does it pay?
  6. Annual whisky club's meeting this Friday. Yoohooo!

And after doing an 87 minute escort mission you tend to do weird things. Especially in a G2 with 75% fuel. lol

Somehow, the public mainstream doesn't share my tastes. I feel so alone sometimes....

  11. Yeah, I wish they had put more detailed damage modelling in the game now that we have those. Imagine how many holes we could poke into those fuselages.... LOL Oh, highgore ROCKS!

  13. Yeah, I've seen a few of the Ghostrider flicks. Whilst clearly a certifiable nutjob, he certainly knows just how to ride fast. But only a fool pulls wheelies in traffic - why, because you can't see where you're going, duh, and that's the first criterion of fast riding. I'd be lying if I said I never went over the speed limit and pushed my bike to its limit; out on the highway and on empty country roads - 'cos that's the nature of the game. Going balls-out in crosstown traffic and poppin' totally unnecessary wheelies is another game altogether. B Ghostrider stopped doing what he did a few years ago. He's a guy named Patrik Furstenhoff, a Subaru dealer from Stockholm, and I think he's now holding the official world record for doing the fastest wheelie. He stands up on the footpegs to see over the bars so that he can hold a wheelie for as long as he likes. My personal opinion on riders like that is that they are definitely doing something very stupid and dangerous. However, I see people on the highway jeopardizing their lives almost every day. Just this afternoon I saw a guy almost hitting the barrier in his Toyota. He held the speedlimit allright(probably cruise control) but he was talking on the phone..... I condone people driving while on the phone, or doing other stuff that takes their mind somewhere else than actually paying attention and driving the vehicle, alot more than I condone skilled riders like Ghostrider. After all, there's maybe 10% of all bikers driving fast like Ghostrider, and there are maybe 10% bikes compared to the number of cars etc. on the road. If you get hit by a biker in your car, you're alot safer than being hit by another car. So who's the real danger?
  14. Skyraiders BTW. Got wockets, bombs, minigunz, napalm, clusterfucks, you name it, we got it.
  15. It's like everything else in this world. People aren't able to see different aspects of each side. Everything is either black, or it's white. Like a good bottle of single malt, tolerance is to be used in small nips, and not the whole bottle at once. It's when you drink a whole bottle, everything starts going wrong.
  16. *sigh* Another Ghostrider wannabe. Search for Ghostrider on YouTube and you'll see where all these people get their inspiration.

If that's not bravery I don't know what is. Unselfishness at it's best. Thanks Skypup. ~S~
  18. Would too. 40lbs of honey should atleast take you through the winter, BG.
  19. Happy birthday, Brando! May the ATI be with you and forever keep your garden.
  20. We know that it will be utilizing multi core proc's but not much more than that. Based on screenshots and WIP vids, the boys are saying that it will be a demanding game to run, but a good looking game doesn't necessarily have to be the apocalypse for your machine.
  21. Christmas present for myself? What a fabulous idea!
  22. Are you saying you're using your son to get upgrades? Good man!
  23. Swep-dude, Gøtebøøørjs Rapeeee is good snus dude. Feels like snusing a swedish forest. lol

Haha I was just kidding :) I can't afford duxford, and I could order the stuff online I guess. Don't remember much about the flavor of the one in the picture, only had one and wasn't really sober at the time. Most of my snussing was done with a norwegian brand, name I don't remember, it was a white can though....

I don't think there is a Norwegian brand.... We get all the unhealthy stuff from the Swedes.

Hmm, I thought Norway made its own too, even though I only ever hear about Swedish stuff . Regardless, good stuff, even though hookah is my preferred method of tobacco ingestion. Snus is less unhealthy though....

Ah Sweden, they hate drugs so much yet their tobacco is the most psychoactive in the world :D
