It's the assigments where you have to read max IAS at different altitudes with 500m in between, clean/dirty/loaded/empty/stallspeeds and then have to compute to TAS while noting down on notepad and sending it in before thursday. It's repetitive to the point where I don't see the need in doing it much more in a virtual world. Stuff I don't see any need of doing gets the backseat.

Yeah, it's not that hard to find out stuff about anyone using the internet. A 5min talk to a good hacker/cracker really opens your eyes. There was this guy I talked to that gave me an example of a not so common hack. He used Adobe's updater, and through that found a loop hole through your firewall. Think about how many programs you got that uses updaters. For example.

I just sent all my PzIV guys to the barracks, fired them, replaced them with 100% crews and started additional training. How do I assign them to the tank though? They're all trained for the PzIV so it's not that..... *edit* Nvm. My fault.

I bet it is Zooly. It's great having so much gold now. I can buy AP ammo for my PzIV with it. Much needed ammo for a small tank.

Yaah, sounds like a mobo failure. Should be no problem with an RMA on this.

In the instruction manual there's a "power phase" section, I believe. Each time you turn the power on, a row of led lights should light up on the top right spot on the mobo while POST. If all those light up there's a good chance there's something else. As you said, measure the voltages from the PSU is a good start. I have the UD3P board so it's similar to yours.

I'm getting restless again. The kind of restless when hardware needs to be replaced without much reason to back it up. I've listened to all this talk about how great Nvidia cards are with IL-2(possibly SoW as well)and wondered if there's any truth behind it, or if it's just drunken sailor stories? I've never played IL-2 on a green card so I have no idea. Is there any difference besides less hassle running perfect landscape? ~S~

If that score is better than the total score with a Duo I wouldn't think too hard about it. CPU score counts like 29% or something in Passmark anyway and I wouldn't trust the program that much. It read my overclock to 3.9gHz when it's only 3.75. If the rig feels good, you get good framerates and it runs smooth, you're all good m8. It is strange though. My best bet is still that the Quad is not as fast as a Duo clock-for-clock. I could make a posting about it at OCN to find out more but then I would need the full spec list, from head to toe. My rig overclocked scores 2278 in comparison. Q9550 and Gigabyte P45 UD3P with a 5870.

Probably because you have a well balanced system which doesn't really demand more processing power. Duo's are faster chips clock-for-clock compared to Quads, and since most games today doesn't really utilize more than one-two cores, a Duo is still recommended for playing games like IL-2. Just because it's a spiffier proc. The best way to measure your rigs gaming potential though is to run it through 3Dmark 06 or 3Dmark Vantage. Oh, SoW will utilize multiple cores.

The P45 is a better chipset all around(never get x16/x16 from it though but that doesn't really matter unless you're on SLi GTX480's/CF 5970's) but if you're running more than one gfx card and it's Nvidia, you'll need the 750i chipset to run SLi. Unless you know how to SLi hack a P45. The downside of a 750i chipset, from an overclockers standpoint, is that it doesn't fancy a Quad all that much.
