Way cool. The weather reminds me of a scary outing I had once. I had my RC air boat out at the lake one day & a couple other guys showed-up to fly planes. A thunder storm rolled in on us while we were standing on the wet sand. Suddenly all of our antennas started popping & cracking from the electricity in the air. I quickly brought my boat in & shut it all down & so did one of the flyers. The other flyer couldn't get his plane down as fast though & actually started getting shocked every 5-10 seconds through the controller during the last minute or so of getting his plane down. Even the radio & CB antennas on my truck were popping. Needless to say, we all got the heck outa there quick at that point. Edited to add a pic of my toy.

Also in true Dogz style I can see booze & coffee are on hand. Also wonder what that is on the ash-tray? Thin, hand rolled?

Not only did it turn my crank, but I think I formed a little wet spot.

Well it's that time again in our mountains. Fire season! A downed power line line a mile or two away set off this little blaze that burned Friday through Sunday. This was the view from my front yard. And I found a couple of locals (both two-point bucks) taking refuge & searching for food in my back yard Monday morning. Not the best quality pic, but it was taken through the screen in the kitchen window.

Ok that's what I figured. Most computers I've seen have USB's in back, but had no clue what they hooked to. So when the time comes to get the mother-board I will look for that in the specs. Thanks

Thought I'd start another thread asking for help & opinions as not to hijack Tonar's thread. I've decided I need a rig that can keep-up with all y'all's. Even though money is tight, I figure I can try to pick-up at least one component per month & build a rig when I've got everything here. Since it will take a while to get everything together, I figure it would be best to start with basic stuff like the tower & then the power supply. So I've done some shopping around & found what I think would be a great case for what I'll be starting out with. Plus it should allow me to upgrade to my hearts content for quite a while too. I've got a stupid question to ask first though. Most of the cases I've looked at come with (2)X USB 2.0 in the front. Can I add an additional 2 or more in the back? Anyway this is the tower I'm considering: nzxt tempest Good, bad, other, let me know what ya think.

That's some good info. I too am seriously contemplating getting the components as I can afford them, then building a decent rig. Could really use some help figuring out where to start & what to get from those around here who know a great deal more than me. I once tried to put a larger hard drive in a computer & messed things up so bad I still had to have someone more knowledgeable bail me out. So the prospect of building one from scratch is quite frightening for this techtard. The cheap ba$tage inside me keeps telling me I can do it myself though.

That's just to freakin hot. And to think I've been griping about it being 102F around here for the last week and a half.

That's the first thought that went through my mind too.

An interesting little happening here in my neck-O-the woods. F-16 strays a couple miles away from the live fire practice range and strafes a rented SUV. Nothing to see, just move along. HERE is a link to the story in Air Force-Magazine.
