  1. Bugger. Just wrote your brief up as an article, all images titled and alt texted. Hit the 'Submit Article' and the bloody thing asked me to log-in again. Even more annoying was I had taken the precaution of ctrl+a incase anything went wrong, and then goofed by copying the screen for the user guide. Lost an hour or so's work I've changed the timeout, it may not work though. Do a ctrl+a and ctrl+c on long articles, it will save some hair...
  2. LMAO, photobucket is currently undergoing maintenance! Just saw Zeus-Cats post on GD, his image had a place holder
  3. Like JP says, yup! As you well know now Screenies for it could be uploaded to our gallery, I can make a section specific to it if you want. Advantage is that it would load so long as the page referring to it (this site) loads and would not fail if photobucket is down. Disadvantage is that it would use some of our bandwidth. Choice is yours
  4. Hey Shadow M8, your de-briefs would make great articles on the web pages, mind if I have a go at putting this one and the last one up? I can document the procedure and make that available too .
  5. LOL JP, an alternate punch line could be: 'Mister, it's the sheep we're disgusted with, really low hooking up with a lawyer'. Sorry Cold_Gambler
  6. Hold on though...that's a black sheep. Shouldn't it be Bbloke in the tree in that scenario?
  7. Tips 'n tricks or general information...I know I can hear the echo too. Trying to work out the best name for the tab m8, short and snappy ideally...created one called 'The Gen'
  8. Oops. Feel free to edit it m8 It was after all put there for you!!
  9. By default they will be 'online' I think you turned it 'offline' I saw it and put it online, then thought....I wonder if this is supposed to be offline. Then I realised I didn't really care and left it!
  10. Initially it'll be a case of responding to the email by checking what has been uploaded. If it's offensive or illegal it will then need to be removed. If it is uploaded in the wrong location we will need to move it. Deletion is easy, if you click on the 'Admin Panel' link in the top left most column of http://www.dangerdogz.com. The two areas of interest are in: 'Main Plugins'->'Image Gallery' 'Downloaded Plugins'->'Download Manager' You may have to click the '+' circled in red, two sections are underlined. Third 'Notepad' can be used to leave notes amongst ourselves: File deletion is done here: The red boxed area will delete ALL files so should probably be left unticked Put a tick alongside the file, and then press the delete button underneath. If you want to take a file offline, use the drop down and then press 'update' Moving files between sections, clcik on the image or file name, you are now in edit mode. Have a look around this page and you will see what you can do
  11. OK. Ignore me. You are using IE, this is part of the anti M$ conspiracy, only IE will show that fault, Firefox renders it perfectly (it ignores the missing icons which are just place holders. I'll put it on the 'to do' list and prioritise other stuff (there will be changes to the appearance of the site that will dictate how I fix the bug you found Colin).
  12. Does now. Admins downloads weren't being counted
  13. Ok. Fixed...well sort off. This is 2.3Mb It doesn't like it if the extension jpg is JPG. Getting a fix for this, I hope, ticket has already been picked up and getting answers fast
  14. That is because there are no thumbnails for the uploaded files. A thumbnail would have to be created by whoever uploads. So for a track for instance grab a screenie, and use that as the image for it. I haven't yet tested this, but I think images will be auto-resized to create a thumbnail.
  15. Found where it had been hard coded to just under 1Mb. Changing the coding doesn't seem to have any affect, so I have raised a support ticket.
  16. jpegs are fine, just a size problem at the moment maximum of 2Mb I think. Working on fixing it.
  17. I had better stay off google talk then
  18. Done Glenn. Mission Building Section I put a place holder article there, saves you having to go into Admin, and will delete once you have posted something. Cross-posting to the forums does not work, and it will result in an article not being published/saved. I will raise a support ticket for this. Once you have an article up I will see how the triple column layout works, and may change it to dual column with 'Latest New' shown in the left column. I will also look into hacking the titles...'News' doesn't really work for me
  19. Thanks Glenn Any other takers?
  20. I just watched it too. Excellent!
  21. Anyone want to volunteer to help moderate images and files? The system will email whenever an item is submitted, we need to make sure it isn't too offensive You have probably seen the Download Manager now. It is also an upload manager! Please follow these guidlines: 1. Maximum (current) upload size is 20Mb 2. Pick the section to which the file belongs, tracks in tracks, skins in skins etc. By clicking the link (circled in red): You can confirm the section you are in by looking at the link as circled in red: Remember to select 'Online' here: Gallery: Images will now be published automatically, the system can email one or more people each time an image is submitted. Images have a file size limitation, I don't yet know what that is, assume 2Mb. I will find out If an image won't upload then use the Download Manager, if you can make a thumbnail for it and add that at the same time....great!
  22. The roster pages now include a 'K( Squad Mail' link. This is not viewable by any one who is not a member of either the Danger Dogz or Hell Hounds. Each pilots name is an email link, click it and your email program will fire up with the address already filled in. At the top there is also a 'Mail All' link which, surprisingly, will mail all . Big thanks to Bbloke who put the code together for that. I have started the bare bones of a technical support section, and will populate this as best I can with common questions and answers, and some 'how to's'. Articles (that is what they will appear as) can be emailed or printed too. Any other sections that could be added? Skinning guide? Mission building/FMB guide? Dedicated/co-op server admin guide? Let me know what sections are required, for now if you get the urge post an article. A category can be made at a later date for it.
  23. Credit now given to you and Hammered Dazza Must get some more up there
