  1. Found my CAD drawings and models, originally I was going to make an X55 connector to slip over the original MSFFB2 stick stub. I canned it because of the complexity getting the electrical contact pads implemented. Any way, I can very easily modify the model to suite other applications very similar to the SopGrip idea. I can also machine it out of Delrin, much faster than 3D printing too 😉

  2. Awesome work that guy has done, he has one heck of a man cave! My CNC is a much larger affair, will machine 1.4M x 400mm. I never considered machining carbon fiber, that is giving me bank account draining ideas! Must get back on my collective project, not having to print everything now makes it a more feasible proposition...

  6. Ive used PCS twice before and havent had any issue with them. but I will shop around for a few comparable quotes, I tend to use them to benchmark the price and specs tbh., because their quoting tools are quite good. I have built my own rigs in the past, so may do so when it comes to the crunch. as its a big cost saving and I can shop around for parts and get the cheapest prices., plus no build cost other than sweat, bad language and a weekend of my time to put it all together. I could add a bigger box to allow a couple of additional 120mm fans, I did have my concerns also about overheating. but tbh, i probably wouldnt overclock, firstly I dont know how, and secondly I dont know how. lol the difference in price between the RTX3080 Ti and the next level up, 12Gb is over £500 so thats going to put the 12Gb out of my price range. im already exceeding budget by £500, but thats an acceptable cost and I would take that on the chin. we are alrwady in 'lies to the missus' terrirtory. Wont be buying just yet anyway, as I still have furniture to buy, so it will depend on whats left over, but I have massively over budgetted for that anyway. so there should be a few shekyls left for a new rig.

  7. Just looked at the map and zooming in to the street names it looks like Parts has put his marker right next to “Dufferin Place” 🤣😂 If that was not deliberate, it should have been !
