485th comprising of a 4 ship and 3 ship flight, (so 9 in all🤔 taking into account multiple personalities), were assigned to escort a Sqn of B25 bombers. After having taken the trouble to climb to angels 18 for a rendezvous, all we saw of them was a trail of descending smoke in the direction of the rendezvous point from afar. Shortly after that sighting we were assaulted by what can only be described as “absolute Fokkers”. The chaps were in no mood for fun and games having realised that our bomber boys may well have been similarly assaulted..... so we killed them. Superb wingman antics from Lt David Reginald and 2nd Lt HP Pookie throughout by the way, bloody good show ! No joy finding any bombers at all so ground attack became our focus. We had decided not to escort bombers with bombs so straffing would have to be the delivery system for today. Funflak had been experiencing technical difficulties from “the get go” as you yanks like to say. He was able to make a forced landing at a forward airfield. BA was placed under Capt Rea’s wing for his first mission, all was well until he fell out from under it on the way home mainly due to technical issues. We are hoping he will be back in the air with us soon. The ground attack went well, with great team work from pairs yielding a good haul. AAA this time seemed to be on steroids, always picking your approach up early and switching to the next threat readily, not happy with that, not happy at all. The current crop of AAA crews need to be terminated so that they are replaced with reluctant rookies ASAP ! Returned to home base with 5 undamaged P38s with 5 well toned and highly photogenic pilots at the controls........ What !?

Just updated the map with the AAA wagon and 5 circling Ju52's. They do not re-spawn when killed but working on it. It is live on the server now as FT as done his magic again and updated the server. For anyone with missions that you edit, you will have to use the tool to Re save all missions to update them.

So it seems we can have a new ID system. Numbers and letters in black or white as well as yellow and red. Rather than think what number is what player how about just using our names? For example I could be PRF Can you guess who are the players below? FRR SID FT PRT PAI CRS POK SQK SWP REG Squad leaders use red or yellow instead of white/black.

Squawk is back in service and willing to be of service. If there is an open crew spot I will gladly fill or I can go solo as well.

Salute As you should be aware, I am offering the chance in this event for people to team up to form a "crew" for a tank. So far we only have two crews, myself, FT and Perfesser in one tank and Sid, Painless and Parts in another. There is still time if you wish to make a crew with someone else. If you want to drive solo, that is no problem. Running as a crew does add something to the game. During our test on Saturday my crew had a situation where we rounded a corner and came upon a Panzer. I noticed that he started to rotate to gun round towards us, so I set off trying to stay in front of the arc of his gun whilst Perf (Commander) was screaming at FT (gunner) who had not noticed him, to get his gun trained on the tank, a situation I would not have been able to cope with playing on my own! Following a test on Saturday we are going to run with the following configuration, which may require you to create a whisper, so if you do not know how to do this please let us know and someone will go through it with you. Multi Crews Players will be moved to their own tank channel eg Tank 3 or Tank 4 The players in these channels will set up a whisper to the other tank channel plus a common channel for all the solo players. Solo Players In order for you to contact the commanders in the two multi crew tanks you will need to set up a whisper to both the tank channels (Tank 3 and Tank 4) For the solo players to talk amongst yourselves, you do not have to do anything extra. Please do post here and let us know if you need any help getting this set up. It is easy to do, you just need a free key to bind the whisper to, so when you press it it broadcasts the relevant channels.
