You can run chkmods even on an empty folder. I think You will get close to a working IL2, but some items will be missing, like settings for the user, missions, paintschemes. It will not be complete... Is there any way you can copy the installation from the old Pc over to the new one? That would be the easiest way... For sure you can have both!2 points

But Toad is right re chkmods. It will need a file called il2fb.exe to be able to run. Doesn't matter what its contents are, as long as it is there.1 point
