Waldo.Pepper
I have an X-45, but this will likely apply no matter what you fly with. On the left; White Lithium Grease. This is an automotive product. Not only does it say right on the label that it is safe for plastic, including nylon but if you have ever taken the trouble to open up the base section of the X-45, you may already have noticed that Saitek themselves used it to grease up their own mechanism (at least on the inside). So far I have lube up the underside of the disk just below the spring on the handle. I put some on my finger, pried up the disc and spread it all around. Not lots! Just enough to grease up the action on the underside of the disc. Works great! The second product on the right; MG Chemicals Electrosolve Contact Cleaner Zero Residue. If you ever have an iffy switch, or a potentiometer that you think is going all funny (spiking etc). Just open up the joystick and spray this stuff all over it like it were WD-40. Also works great. Each of the items are about five bucks. Might save you a lot if you think you need to buy a new stick.
Fireman
I think this one deserves a little "bump".......
