The wife found a site that offers "The London Pass", a ticket that is purchased for a number of days, allows you into certain tourist attractions, by-passing long lines and travel. Those places charge a pretty penny, although the national museums (such as the British and the Natural History) are free entry (bit like the RAF Museum @ Hendon).
