Enforcer57 Posted September 6, 2008 Share Posted September 6, 2008 Yeah, I wish I had time to dig out the slides I took of her back in 88 right after they aquired the ship when it showed up at an airshow in Westmemphis Ark with Kermit's newly purchased Mossie. It wasn't nearly as restored as now, only having the tail and belly turrets and a much simpler paint job. I wish the videographer had been able to find a position where he didn't have to shoot through the modern AC, but it was pretty good at the end. They are a bit incorrect that the EAA maintains all the 14 flying B-17s. Only this particular one is named "aluminum overcast" and owned by the EAA. And I've always loved the theme music to "the Right Stuff", though it can seem a bit overboard sometimes, but the high res vid is great.
