Streak Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 Ok I know it's got to be a stupid question but I've got to ask it anyway. When you see another aircraft close enough for the icon to show-up, the distance is displayed as x.xx. How does this related to meters ext? I do now that when I engage another plane I usually have to be within the .3x range to do any real damage, with .2x or closer being optimal. Understanding how this number relates to distance in feet or meters would be very helpful for knowing when a target is at my convergence distance. I guess in simplest terms I just want to know: 100M = ? icon displayed distance and 100FT = ? icon displayed distance Quote
Rattler Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 1.0 = 1000m, 1 "click" 0.3 = 300m You may only open fire on us if you are at 1.1 or greater. Quote
BBloke Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 Range is denoted in KM. 1.00 is 1 kilometer 0.50 is ½ kilomoter or 500m When you are really close you'll be seeing things like: 0.01 which is a butt clenching 10m 100m = 0.10 as a range. Quote
