    SOLVED!

With a lead provided by Bignewy from DCS - the issue was a linked zone to a carrier.

    The mission now loads ok.

I have not corrected the 05:45 or 22:00 missions yet.

Oh man! I thought EVERYBODY knew to never ever link a zone to a carrier!  It's great to be in-the-zone, but there's no space for a carrier, them too big !

Good job sir, thanks very much!

Just tried an offline Persian gulf mission and everything was fine.🤷‍♂️

Okay thanks for that. Me thinks Colin should take a look at the mission.

Nope, just tried to join the server which is on Persian gulf, and my game crashed to....

Okay, thanks for testing and replying... DD All planes Jet practice A 700 is on the server right now...

  4. Updated DCS server.

At the moment, if and when DDServerPersianGulf-0545hrs is running on the server, my client crashes.

It does not crash when DD All planes Jet practice A 700 is running. Am I alone?

  5. I have now converted/edited them

(Basically edit the .list file so the path is correct, ie, remove /GB_PublicServer from it, as well as references to an mp3 file and I think a jpeg file)

You should now be able to run them as a dogfight on our server - I saw you already prepared the DangerDogzDF-tanks.sds, I copied it to DangerDogzDF.sds and it's running on the server now.

  6. 1) In the file open box, just type *.msnbin and hit enter

    image.png

    2) a.Manually edit the .list file so the file paths correspond, or create a folder on our server name dogfight/GB_PublicServer, but then you need to create a new .sds file.

    or:

b . Start the mission editor on the server, and select 'resave all files in folder'

      c. Add the files to our server, tell me the names of the mission and I'll prepare them for you

The only reason I can think of a server kicking a player is a ping kick, does our server have a tighter tolerance than others?

Having said that another user should not effect your ping unless sharing a connection

I would be interested to see a graph of his pings before and after this anomaly

    No ping kick.

The Log file just shows he disconnects. As if he hit Esc, disconnect.

He can connect to the server whenever Garrapata is connected,  but he's just getting disconnected after a few minutes. No errors at all!

Check that excerpt of the logfile I posted above: Garrapata joins, and about three minutes later, Nogin leaves.

Here's another example, where Nogin joins, and leaves after a few minutes - you cannot see here that Garrapata is connected, but he is.

[19:05:04]	Server: Nogin is now connected.
    [19:05:58]	1>timeout 60 file mload.rcu
    [19:06:58]	1>timeout 60 file mload.rcu
[19:07:16]	Server: Nogin needed to go

Even when Nogin uses a different alias this happens.

Both Nogin and Garrapata have IP addresses that change every once in a while.

    It is mind boggling ...

  8. Been thinking about this issue, and still have no idea.

However, I do remember seeing you both online at the same time so I thought it fixed itself?

    Weird stuff!

Here's what the log file is showing:

And yeah, no, nothing sticks out to me why you get kicked out. Nothing at all...

I shall experiment a bit with some network settings, but - no promises...

Another stuttering mess last night, so I went flatscreen. Today I used JSME to move all the mods out and left mods on in the Il-2 GUI. Joined the DD server and got a solid 85FPS, no stutters. Looks like a corrupt mod so I will find out more later today

Oh man, I completely forgot about mods and JSGME and shift... sorry about that - But those should be like very high on the list of trouble shooting the not obvious issues!

But then, how many mods do you use? I still only have the dd-icon thing and the back ground mute one :)

I have now got the Win10 media creation tool on a USB stick and will have another go with VR with the Zen oc software off. If that doesnt help then format and new Win 10 will have to be the way. If that dont work then its a new MB and back to Intel.

    good luck!

It runs fine on flatscreen and doing photo editing. from what I have read VR NEEDs 5GHz and it used to run fine. If I reinstall Win10 and then change the MB to Intel if it has the same chipset as present would I still need to do a complete windows install?

complete windows install going from AMD to Intel:  Sorry, cannot tell. Never tried that.

'used to run fine': Sure, I know, my Asus board and water cooled i7 did that on 'Fast' overclock setting. Until it no longer did!

Now if you try and do not overclock, and see what gives. What if it's stable and fast enough?
