Sellers had many applications to NASA rejected on the grounds of nationality, he had to have US citizenship to finally be accepted, that's the point I'm making, only Brits seem to have to become American before they can get on a US spacecraft, the US must accept dual citizenship otherwise it wouldn't be possible to have dual UK/US citizenship.
On reflection I think I know the answer, probably something to do with state sponsorship, the UK doesn't sponsor cool stuff like astronauts.
-
but Foale worked for NASA strictly under his US citizenship i.e. US flag patch on the spacesuit, there is also Piers sellers and Nicholas Patrick with exactly the same status, Greg H Jonson was british born but grew up American

Never understood the reason why Brits have to change nationality to become astronauts, seems no other country has to, it's weird if you check the list of NASA space shuttle crews you don't see a single british flag yet I know at least 3 brits crewed.

Like it, subtle humour.

if I had read through the list it would have saved me from all that math, seen the movie though and it doesn't end well.

Still, I can't imagine how tough life must have been when occupied by the Nazis and your liberators are bombing the crap out of you, hats off to our continental cousins, they endured a horrifying nightmare.

Steam does not do the TF updates, you have to download the patch from ATAG's site

Until the thing is found I couldn't rule out aliens

Even that one has big holes, in the event of fire the crew can go on oxygen, if they were overcome by fumes before they could notice then it doesn't explain the change of course which really seems like a deliberate action, technically they should have flown all the way to destination on the autopilot following the LNAV profile, if the fire was serious enough then it's unlikely the aircraft would have flown until tanks dry, this really is one of the most mystifying incidents.

I think the problem is spotted by who?I just can't believe that no trace of debris has been spotted,
to be honest the US are probably taking it upon themselves to search for this thing, so surveillance satellites could be being employed heavily, until this thing is found some of the weirder theories about it being hidden for future use to carry a nuke to the US have weight.
-
I am beginning to feel less confident it simply crashed, I just can't believe that no trace of debris has been spotted, the only way to avoid debris is to perform a perfect ditching on calm water........this really is one of the strangest air incidents.

in Win7 the game controllers control panel has an advanced option which allows you to assign the preferred controller for older games, this effectively is assigning the controlled ID I think, either way the Logitech profiler software gives the option to assign ID's to your devices.

Not sure why the reference to NASA hearts and minds, the fact remains there have been Italian, French, Israeli, Russian, Ukrainian, Canadian, Swiss, German, Dutch, Saudi, Mexican, Japanese, Spanish and Swedish National who have been on NASA crews all of whom retained their nationality and had the flag on the spacesuit, other than my thoughts on state sponsorship I was simply wondering why the Brits had to become American before they could do the job.
