i run water=2 in the ini file, water=4 is to big a hit down really low, even on my system, at wave top height fps drops to about 30fps instead of 60 with water=2. My card is a nvidia gtx280. However, i also use a water mod and the sun reflection mod that were done by OLC, found here, water and reflection mod Also i've changed the colour of the water on that map, as i prefer blue to grey...

Hi Rattler, heres the link for the campaign, for your conveniance 9 lives its a really well done historical campaign, if you read Al Deeres book, you almost know whats coming next, and as the map is 2/3's scale, fuel is locked at 66%, so flying to france from hornchurch doesn't give you much over france, and its a common sight to see 109's turning for home later in the battle which adds to the historical flavour. I've got Fighter Boys too, its definatly a good read, and you get to fly the 54 squadron missions that that book references as well, good fun tangaling with Gallands fighters in the Battle of the Thames Estuary! If you do decide to fly it, be prepared to be bounced by the hun in the sun!!!

Heres a few, ahem, of an offline campaign i've been enjoying at the moment, Nine lives, based on Al Deeres book about 54 squadron during Dunkirk and through the Battle of Britain. This is an early mission to fly over Dunkirk to try to protect the beaches, unfortunatly the luftwaffe was waiting Climbing out of Hornchurch, over the Isle of Grain, in formation, Crossing the channel, my house is down there somewhere in this pic, lol, French coast ahead, battle is joined, 109's join the party, my victims always go for one too many, duh! turning for home, heading for an emergancy landing at Manston, on final, engine off, time for a beer, wizard Great campaign, well worth a go if the Battle of Britain interests you, and Sow seems to far off, lol, fruitbat

Where can I find that water and reflections mod? you can find it here. water and reflection mod to be honest i'm not sure i really see much difference with the water on water=2, but to use the relection mod have to use the water mod, and i do prefer the reflection mod. anyway, read the thread to see what others have found, and give it a whirl.
