  1. You sure have alot of objects going on in your missions. Very nice, I like 'em. What mods do you recommend having enabled? I seem to get pretty low framerates over particular hotzones.
  2. Ah, our man in Egypt. If the angry mob shows up, wrap a bedsheet around your melon, say "Allah Akbar!" and they should leave you alone.... Let's hope things calm down soon.
  3. Same here should run well with high visual effects. Q9550, 5870 1gb and 8gb ram. I got full score on the gfx card but my old beater proc seem to be lacking a bit. Maybe I should stop torturing it.....
  4. Newer Subaru's are well built cars in general. I've heard one complaint from a Subaru Impreza WRX owner but I don't think mileage is something you should really consider when you drive a WRX STi...... I've never owned an Audi but I certainly have heard and experienced my share of problems with the Audi A4/A6 1994(?) onwards. Suspension geometry for the most part. Is the Tribeca what we call Forester over here?

    Talk to me Goose!
  6. How many people and hours does it take to build something like this? Very impressive! Oh and "eternally snow covered Sweden". Nice, but it's only the people there who are "eternally snow covered".
  7. Seems the socket is a bit premature. Give it another 9 months.
  8. I got a job interview on thursday. Fuck yeah! Time to change underwear!

Shaving facial hair is a deal breaker for me. Atleast more often than once every 14 days. I have my image to take care of. :)

      Oh, you meant facial!

  9. Very cool! But wouldn't the cost of something like that get you a basic PPL as well?
  10. 4890 is an overclocked 4870. Same architecture as the 4870 so you're good to go, Pooka.
  11. Yep, a 5970 is, in essence, two 5850 graphics cards with a crossfire chip in between.
  12. I'm not gonna upgrade shit if those specs work out. Yooohoooo!
  13. It's hard to choose isn't it? Imma wait a few weeks more and see about how the game really runs but I am also tempted to wait for Ivy Bridge and see how that socket stacks up, in case CoD:IL-2 runs ok on my computer. My high end 775 is no longer high end.
  14. LOL I reckon the "system specs" threads are popping up ten times a day over at Ubizoo huh. I started a snotty but harsh thread over at Banana and it seems it cooled down a bit over there.
  15. Unless you're running a GTX295, HD5970 or any dual gpu card, x8/x8 isn't going to hinder your crossfire/Sli more than probably 1-2%. A review on how much it really matters in performance terms: http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/AMD/HD_5870_PCI-Express_Scaling/1.html Anyway, I think you're better off with the Maximus IV.
  16. As I sit here googling and comparing framerates between my pretty much high end 775 system and the newer sockets, I'm starting to think that the only upgrade I REALLY need right now possibly for CoD(using RoF as reference), might be just another graphics card. I get steady 60FPS in RoF already, almost maxed out at 1920x1200, so most definitely, I'm gonna grab another beer and wait.
  17. I got the bombsight figured out now. Where's my busdriver hat?

  18. Actually I think this is a movie promo for a movie called "Les Chevaliers du Ciel". I searched imdb and found it with the English title "Sky Fighters", released in 2005. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0421974/ Imma git myself that movie, Imma think it has capturing way beyond Top Gun. Ya, I dig the French aircrafts. Raphale M is another beauty.
  19. They are still optimizing the game so there won't be any system requirements yet I reckon. Another month I presume.
  20. No way Painless only has computer hoes. He drives a Mondeo, chicks dig Mondeo's.
  21. Nah, raaaid is more into stereo sounds and peripheral view nowadays.
  22. Yeah, I like to push buttons and see what happens. I've only heard good things about Corsair Vengeance. Planning on using those myself.
  23. It is a nice bundle but the new Asus UEFI does have a "turboboost" option, very much improved from former "noob overclocking" functions from earlier sockets and various brands. Click the button and you'll instantly have 4+gHz. Overclocking is becoming mainstream and much easier. I'm not sure if I'd pay for that clock instead of doing the clicking myself. That's what's nice about Sandy Bridge, as if the new UEFI BIOS hasn't made things easy enough, the processors themselves have been made more efficient and "clockable" than the ones I'm used to. Overclockers nowadays pretty much chunk out 5gHz of 2500K and 2600K's as if it was nothing. On air cooling.
  24. Here's a jolly good review to compare 2500k and 2600k to precent i7's and i5's. http://www.kitguru.net/components/cpu/zardon/intel-core-i7-2600k-and-core-i5-2500k-review/ Yeah the 2500k is an i5 but the only real difference is shared L3 cache, 6mb vs 8mb, and hyperthreading besides the IGP which I won't be using. I'm not used to having hyperthreading so I don't know if I'll be missing it either. My wallet will miss the extra dough from getting a 2600k instead of a 2500k though and since a 2500k will easily hit 4.6gHz, the increase from my Q9550 will be enormous.
