Oh, nothing spectacularly expensive, just some Evan Williams.

Sure is funny that some can't even get it to run. My installation was easy and works fine for the most part, I feel for those having issues. UP3 is great for messing around with occasionally, but when it comes to coops, the less issues the better. We already have enough holdups and tech problems like Track IR not working, crashing on takeoff, forgetting to hit the fly button or just taking forever to join the game and keep everyone waiting which I would never ever do personally.

I'm looking across at an unopened bottle of Kentucky Bourbon sitting on the kitchen table right now, and starting to get thirsty.

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM, Team Fortress 2!!!!!! And to think I actually paid 10 bucks for it. Now all you lummoxes get to play it for free. Oh well, plenty of fresh newbs to thrash.

I'll have to keep an eye out for it then.

Speaking of fighting in space Freespace 2 has a very large and active community with many mods that greatly enhance the game. There is a Star Wars mod for it too. And speaking of Star Wars I never played X-wind alliance but I'd like to pick it up somewhere if I could.

Just to let you all know Good Old Games has a promo now on several old games for 2.99 US a piece including both Descent 1 + 2 together or Descent 3 http://www.gog.com/en/catalogue/#action=addtocart&addedid=addtocart_descent_1_descent_2 . Descent 2 was my favorite personally. There is also a mod project for it called D2X-XL http://www.descent2.de/ that enhances the game. Just thought I'd put it out there. You might want to check out Freespace 2 as well.

I have Race 07, STCC, WTCC, GTR-Evo and Race On. All I had to do was buy Race On and GTR-Evo and they came with all the rest. I think I spent like 30 dollars total between to 2 but it sure is nice to get in some laps now and again. The feeling you get from inside the car is very immersible and realistic.

I know what you mean. I did meet a couple of very nice chaps from the UK though one of which I helped start a race team. Friendly and helpful I'm trying to encourage them to do things doggy style. Anyone interested should let me know. The games are Race 07, STCC, WTCC, GTR-Evo and Race On. Oh, and you know you guys keep secrets. Like the one where you make your plane levitate and turn on a dime as if by magic and then your aimbot kicks in.

Yes, very good indeed. Those are 2 must have mods in my opinion.

The 'fire smoke effect' and the 'smoke plane crashed' mods are independent of one another. As MadTrooper stated you need to put them both in a #UP# folder in your main IL-2 directory. The file structure should look like this C:\Program Files (x86)\IL-2 4.10.1\#UP#\Fire smoke effect. When you are unzipping the mods make sure they are not creating another directory such as \Fire smoke effect\Fire smoke effect\ I know with 7 Zip if I tell it to just extract the files it extracts them to an additional directory 7 Zip creates. If that's not the problem them perhaps you've received corrupted mods and should attempt to download them again or from another source though I doubt that is the problem. As far as where to get the files goes try using the file browser in teamspeak. If you right click on the channel name once you've joined the dangerdogz teamspeak server you will see an option for file browser. Last time I checked the was a directory in there called IL-2 mods or something like that that contained both of those fire and smoke mods you're looking for.

For those of you that couldn't see the first video because of the stupid international copywrite blockage I've posted an alternative vid. It's not the prettiest addon track but it is one heck of a wild ride.

I like that sig of yours Asas.

And now for something completely different. GTR-Evo, simply awesome. This ain't no arcade game gentlemen.

Just installed the hotfix (at least I think I did). Now how can I tell if it's working.

Can't live without it. I've been doing quite a bit of modding to my UP 3.0 already and after making a tiny change to my FOV changer it started working again so I don't know exactly what fixed it. I'll tell you this though, many of the mods were as simple as copying them from the old MODS folder to the new #UP# folder though some do require a little more work. I've gotten about a dozen mods installed right now as well as several cockpit and map repaints. Its looking good now and I am a happy camper. Well just for the record the issue with the FOV changer seems to be hit or miss. If I start the game and it is working it works fine as long as I don't exit the game. If I start the game and it's not working I have to relaunch the game and then if it works I think it stays working but never had this issue in 4.101 so something is definitively effecting it in UP 3.0. Could be the new executable. I would like feedback from other San's FOV changer users. Have you experienced any issues since the changeover? Also can someone please confirm if the FOV changer is necessary anymore or is UP 3.0 capable of rendering the 3d in true 16:10 now? Hey Mayhem, I don't know but I would love not having to use San's FOV changer (is UP 3.0 capable of rendering the 3d in true 16:10 now?). On my system, both on single player and Multiplayer mode, sometimes I get it to work great and sometimes it doesn't. I have to end the game and restart it a couple of times (not always) to get it to work . It didn't work for me with the U_platinum Universal mod on. MT Ah, well at least I don't seem to be the only one. Completely restarting the game usually fixes it for me and then the problem doesn't come back. Still, it's pretty annoying as you don't know till the coop starts whether its ok or not. If I remember correctly running regular 4.101 it still works just fine all the time so it's just with UP 3.0 that the issue pops up. Still haven't gotten an answer as to if UP 3.0 renders anything other then 4:3 which surprises me with all the heads around here. I looked in the release note but didn't see anything about it so I am assuming it won't with the widescreen mod which is probably only for the menus. I can't tell by just looking at the game. I confirm the issue. I did not have lot of time for tests so I did not discover myself that the (several) game restart(s) really works. However as I predicted this as the possibility, it IMHO proves my original suspicion that the problem is caused by two same-named il2fb.exe. If you take a look into task manager, UP 3 switcher (I expect) runs under the name il2fb.exe along the name itself, so you have two il2fb.exe in the task manager window. When you browse FOV changer tabs carefully (or maybe it is the output of the Test button, do not know now from my head), you find the link to the Il-2 executable somewhere alongside the port number. So I suspect FOV changer to connect to the running .exe somehow. If it (randomly) chooses the game, it works normally. If it chooses the switcher, it does not work. In this case the go/nogo should be statistical (random), and the chance of "good" start should be roughly 1:1. Can someone confirm these figures, please. In the case it is conformed, the remedy would be easy - UP 3 maintainers should just run the switcher as the other-named task... I filled bug report for the UP 3 when I started google searches today and will cross-link this thread there now as well, as it has reports confirming my original idea. Excellent, thank you much! So I'm not crazy after all. Well, maybe just a little. So what would be the best method for getting this bumped up on the priority list? Or perhaps (and I'm tired right now I'll think about it tomorrow) is there is another workaround.

We all know this is what is was really like before the Photoshop job. I hope she doesn't fart or the both of them and the guy pulling that trailer next to them are dead.

Yea but the stripes make her look fat. A definite fasion faux pas.

The Smokey mountains are indeed beautiful. I live near Winston-Salem NC just about at the foothills of the Smokies. I hear tell that the Blue Ridge Parkway is nice too. Very nice bike that KLR though more of a touring bike then an offroader. I always found myself LEANING (pun intended) more toward the Suzuki DR 400. Really liked your flight sim setup by the way. How much $$$ do you have invested into it?

If you host it.......they will come.

Should be able to attend at least for a while. Graduations for 2 relatives going on today so don't know when the party starts. Till Coops I'm over at Audi TV watching the 24 hours of "The Mans". http://tv.audi.com/#/01 this is where having a second monitor is really awesome.
