Sorry, didn't know that was the intention of what you are referring to, which is I assume, or at least was, the secondary server. Bye the bye when I join the Dogz Private server I am getting hit was a 'insufficient client permissions (failed on i_client_max_channel_subscriptions)' message which is also audible when using the default text to speech sound pack in TS. The old primary never used to do this to me but the secondary and subsequently private server was and is. It didn't bother me much before as I wasn't on the secondary save and emergency but now I fear it will become a bit annoying. I've tried re-entering the bookmark info making sure the port number is correct but it hasn't fixed it. As a consequence I cannot join any channels other then the main. I know its probably low on your priority list but could you or someone look into it please. Thanks

Well, isn't that why I am asking? Hench the part that goes "if its alright with you all". When I said he might pop in I meant to the forum and I didn't say anything about posting our TS on their website for public consumption. I would just PM Dingo and have him pass it on via private chat to members only. Besides we've had enough weird people popping in and out lately. We've also had many Warhawks coming in and out so I don't see why there would be that much of a difference. They seem real laid back and I know the ROF fliers over here would probably love to have the company. Anyway if the main TS expires tomorrow there is no sense in giving them the info in the first place.

Here's their TS address is 203.46.105.31:20160. There is no password.

Hey all, I was hanging out on the Rise of Flight Oceanic server and ran into a chap named O_Dino77 from Australia. Very nice guy, seems he is part of the Oceanic Wing who just happens to attend Duxford Flying Legends as well. He mint pop in and leave a message so I'm sure you'll all give him a Dogz welcome. Anyways seems like they have a real nice bunch of guys over there so I'll post their Teamspeak info here and if it's alright with you all give them our TS info so they can hop in and say high from time to time. Real tired now and have to go to bed so I'll post the info tomorrow but just wanted to let you know so if you see his post you'll have the heads up. Oh and before I forget he showed me this free space game they play sometimes called Black Prophecy. Its pretty cool actually, seems kinda like Eve online. Oh and here is another free game my son found. Check it out, its called Ace of Spades. http://ace-spades.com/

I had a friend who bought a Mosin Nagant. Nice gun, I think he payed 120 bucks for his. I don't think it's quite as nice as a Kar98 but they are a bit cheaper and easier to come by. He eventually got a composite stock for his which dropped the weight a few pounds. We used the bayonet to roast mash mellows.

Don't believe he is making it that good. It's probably his girlfriends house and she probably has her parents paying for it all. Either that or she's a stripper and he's a cook, at the stripe club. I've seen this type of thing all over the place when I lived in Florida. Well, he's an extreme case but you'd be surprised at how well some of these jackasses do.

Oh man, they just don't build um like they used to huh? Now the question is, where do I get a mod that makes all the planes sound this good?

Actually I think at the end of the video he talks about going on a European tour this year. Lock up you're daughters.

Did the federal assault weapons ban change anything have anything? If I remember correctly they were locking down the more assault type weapons made after 1986. I really don't know to much about it. But now that I believe it has expired can you buy recently manufactured fully automatic weapons once again in the US? Whatever the case I'm sure each state has its own take on fully automatic weapons and can make acquiring and owning them even more difficult if not impossible like in New York for instance where they have enacted a law to limit cartridges manufactured after 1994 to 10 rounds and make possessing of higher capacity cartridges made after that date a felony. During the federal ban it seems many newly manufactured cartridges where marked for date but since the ban expired it makes owning any cartridge without a date of manufacture sketchy unless you know for sure the model predated 1994. Anyways if a ban on newly manufactured weapons is still in effect it will only make owning a fully automatic weapon harder and more expensive. I haven't got the 10 or 20 grand to pony up so I'll just have to perch myself somewhere and snipe the buggers from afar.
-
Yeah I figured as much, he's probably from Wisconsin or somewhere like that. The only thing that gets me is, if he was from the States having fully automatic weapons would be a federal offenses right? Unless he's a weapons dealer and has a special license I suppose, but I really don't know how all that works. One things for sure, either this guy is a dealer or he's just got tons of cash to spend on all those fancy toys. Anyways, did you see how little freaking recoil there was when he was unloading that Glock and holding onto the bottom of that drum clip? That said this guys a nutter and I love it.

"That's what the F i'm talking about." hahaha its the freaking Russian version of Duke Nukem.

We will be able for years to come, and look back at your words, and keep them dear to our hearts, due to the wonders of today's technology. I recall the day you approached me, and told me you would like to make me an Honorary Dog. I was a bit humbled, and didn't know how to say no. I'm sure glad I stammered on the words, and choked my way into this fine group. After being in management for several years, and Moderating over UBI I finally had a place to cut up and be myself. Because if it/you, I've been invited to enjoy a couch tour anytime I can make it to the UK. I was never more happy than to include you over at UBI and a few others, as Moderators. We won't mention them, this is all about you bud! And we all appreciate the work you have done there. Well this week I decided, due to a current project, to step out from under my rock, and leap into on-coming traffic. I stopped at Walmart tonight after working all day, and picked up my first bottle of Scotch (in your Honor) Went home cracked it open, and added some Honey to it, then warmed it up, and drank it, to help clear this Summer cold/flem in my throat. I then downloaded Audacity, and a Karaoke instrumental sound track tonight, and started belting out some Lyrics. I haven't sang much, if any since High school except to the radio in the car. Well after about 5 hours, I came up with this, Duet with myself. Why a Duet, well I couldn't get it right enough without a Wingman. Besides how many times have you wondered if there wasn't two of me, while being used as Fodder? Its a song called My Old Friend by Tim Mcgraw I can't afford to give you material things, but I can give you a piece of me, for all of you, that has been freely shared over the years. It's not perfect, but its Dogz rough, and the typical, dive in, and worry about getting out alive later. Dogz fighting style. I hope it brings a tear to your hardened heart, you Old Goat. Helen just download, and play in Windows media Player Edit: My daughter just told me, that's the sound of twin toads on your tail Also just learned how to fade out at the end with the software, so recompiled the song. I've been playing with Audacity some more, And have removed some of the Duet effect, and made it an Mp3 to save some space. I can hear you now. Helen I've seen and heard it all now. Toad sang me a song, Give me another scotch to go please. Cancer its such a ruthless, self serving bastard. But it does often give us the remaining, a chance to express our love and thoughts to the poor SOD fighting it. Unlike the silent killers, Heart Attack, Stroke and so forth. Leaving the living, left wondering, and struck with a painful empty void in their hearts. Thanks Jim! For being strong enough to fight this beast, and giving us the gift of your remaining time with us. See ya later today M8! Pretty Dang obvious, We all Love man! Your Friend Todd Great song Todd, I musta missed that one. Hope you don't mind but I processed your song just a bit. Hope you like it. My old Freind by T_O_A_D v2.mp3

Well it's not hard to see from the great outpouring of support that you've touched many and made their lives all that much better in this too often hard and cold world. What can I say that hasn't been said. From the flying to the laughing, the learning to the teaching, the triumphs and defeats, the Dogz provide a truly rich and unique experience. I've learned so much about flying, tactics, and history from hanging out with the crew. Getting such a fulfilling experience in air combat, history and social studies couldn't be found anywhere else and for that I am very grateful to you. Take heart there is a better life around the corner. I never had the pleasure of meeting you face to face so perhaps we'll meet next time around, I'll bring the scotch.

You have to be careful with those BDT findings. Not assuming you didn't but it's best to let it run once or twice and then restart the FPS counter for each test. Other then that I would be suspicious of something else skewing the results. I find it unusual that in IL-2 GB would actually make the minimum FPS lower then without it, though I'm not saying it should improve it much or at all either. For me then only thing that really makes a bit of difference in BDT is setting effects to 0 in my conf.ini. I run some effects mods so the explosions and such are still very pretty just for some reason with effects set to higher then 0 in the conf.ini it impacts performance regardless. It could be that the modded effects are just lighter or optimized better then the built in ones. That said I've tried game booster and thought I may have noticed a slight difference I'll run a few benchmarks today as post my results. I'll tell you this though shutting down unnecessary processes is never a bad thing in my opinion and the more few memory the better. Another thing that makes a difference is making sure your web browser is closed before you play the game. I can't speak for Chrome but Firefox uses quit a bit or resources just being on thought I still like to listen to streaming audio and fly at the same time. Be back with some results shortly.

Mayhem replied to T_O_A_D's topic in IL-2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover Blitz and Desert Wings: Tobruk
Um, no not really, but haven't checked out the last few patches either. That video sure make it look perfect though. -
Ah, rgr!!! I've seen this and thought it looked hideous. Didn't know the dlls were the cause but I do now. Hope they find a fix as your modded pics look lovely.

Thanks, means a lot coming from you. Can you elaborate on the dll's a little. What are the differences?

Is it actually rendering the game in 16:10 like San's does, or is it rendering in 4:3 just giving you more FOV levels? Correct me if I am wrong but I thought San's was supposed to re render the game in 16:10. Read the first page or 2 of this http://il2fovchanger.byethost7.com/versions/San%27s%20IL2%20Fov%20Changer%20v1.0%20english.pdf Also seems like there is no way to assign specific FOVs to buttons beyond what the game already allows for and there is not repeat function on the increase/decrease FOV assignments meaning you have to keep pushing the button for each 5 degree increment. My San's is working great so far by just killing the exe selector for UP3 once the game is launched, though I haven't tried it in multiplayer yet with the launcher disabled but I don't foresee it being a problem, I'll test it out tomorrow. And just for the record San's works great as long as you have all the boxes on the main screen unchecked accept for this latest problem it had with UP3 but it's more UP3's fault then San's. So far I seem to have my San's working consistently in UP3 so for now at least it seems like it's a non issue for me. If this new mod turns out to be better I will start using it of course, but so far it's not comparable to what I am used to. We'll see how it goes.

You can tell Brian Williams wants one sooooo bad he can't hide it.

Just an update regarding the San's FOV changer issues. I think I found a solution unless anyone else has already posted it. Since the problem seems to be there are 2 il2fb.exe, one created by il2 and one by the executable selector after starting the game you can just alt tab out and start your task manager. Then end the il2fb.exe that has the description of 'executable selector'. Once the game is launched it doesn't appear to need to be running anyways and there you go, only one exe for San's to hook into when the mission starts. Simple huh, don't know why I didn't think of it before. Working every time for me now.
