Hello Gents, I'm sure i could have explained it better in persona over a beer or so but unfortunately we couldn't stay much longer with The Dogz while in UK. Sensing a bit of (normal) curiosity about who we are and how things work in my part of the world , i'm trying to let you understand where we stand. Maddy (mrs. Ovy) tried to speak about it but don't know if she really made her point. Moreover i do believe that almost all of you know more or less facts and figures belonging to Western countries or North America but i doubt this applies to my country ...just try this one - can you name a single historical public figure, act, battle , musician, poet, or anything memorable from the geographic space named now Romania ? Discard from your answers Nadia Comaneci and Ceusescu & the so called Revolution - too widely covered by bolliticks and media ) If you can name one , well it's purely coincidal, if two than you should have been a history professor by now, if three or more - are you nuts? applying for Romanian citizenship?? Apart from joking here's a very , very short presentation. Part 1 - historical Home originally to the Tracian tribes ( part of the great family of Celts) , it was occupied by the Romans almost 2 milleniums again. This was the most Eastern frontier of their Empire - still is to this very moment the first line of defense of NATO. Look on the map and you'll get it...The local population , merged with the Romans , and adopted their language , culture and religion, still hanging on... After the fall of the Romans every single nomadic tribe came across - huns, mongolians, turks, tatars, slavics in a continous come and go, for about 1000 years. Some local landlords emerged and they formed a country - Vallachia . In the next 1000 years, the country was either attacked and pillaged , or fell into submission to the Ottomanic Empire, AustroHungarian Empire , Polish Empire, Russian Empire (and Communist Empire...) That went on until 1877 when we got independent and got our first King - Carol of Hohenzolern , followed at the begining of the new century by King Ferdinand and Queen Mary - Maria Alexandra Victoria de Saxa-Coburg și Gotha ( yep, niece of UK Queen Victoria) . Then came WWI which we fought against Germans, and WW2 initially allied with Axis and like all "Latin w..kers" switched sides when things went bad. Sold out by the West to Stalin , together with many other countries, we were invaded by thr Red Army, and forced into Communism, until the fall of Ceausescu. Part 2 - personal Some of you gits have continous laws and properties stretching back countless generation, so just try to imagine this: My grandfather was born in 1903 , in Transylvania , then part of Austrian Empire, as a Romanian Roman Catholic minority with Austrian citizenship, no property whatsoever - national anthem no.1 In 1918 what is now called Romania was formed , including Transilvania. He became Romanian, received a small piece of land by King's empowerement - new national anthem no.2 (Long live the King) In 1940 by Moltov - Ribbentrop Act the Transilvania region was given to Hungary , for their support in the war. Grandpa took his family (my old man too) and crossed the mountains to Romania, threatend to be killed due to being a Church Pastor by Hungarian extremists , returning home in 1945. Lost his land in the meantime , recovered it only for just a few more years. 1947 Under Red Army's boot , King Michael ( some cousin to E II R ) was forced into exile, Parliament abolished, all properties nationalized , become Popular Republic - anthem no.3 1965 After managing by miracle to get the Red Army out of country ( we were the only one in succeding that in the East) Ceausescu came to power , he calls for a new anthem - no.4 1975 In full glory , treated like "the terrible child of Communism" - pretty much like Tito too, Ceausescu changes the country into Socialist Republic , and , you guessed...a new anthem - no.5 1990 After the events culminating with the execution of the tyrant new form of state - simply Republic of Romania, and of course , new anthem - no.6 . Dad took over some land in compensation to the old one , no fertile land, sold it for almost nothing... 2016 The voices are becoming more loud here - maybe we should reinstall King Michael on the Throne ...hey , but what's going on in EU So all these happened here in just a little of a century .... I hope not to bother you with my silly expose , just felt it was a good time now, with dogz meeting memo still fresh PS - By the way , how many of you know that our President in office ' s name is Klaus Werner Johannis ....vestenden Sie , Ja?

OK Mick...how' bout we (in between DDz) make it more simple...anyone - it takes two ( baby) ...- is on our TS saturday i can host 2 vs whatever?? I still am very keen on enlisting for Wed ( as long as it is possiblle - to arrange missions with the host ) . Let's not transform this into a different CET (combat exercise training) - i believe we must contend to max. 8 pilots The goal is to fly and fly again in pairs and , if the American contingent (including Funflak ) is willing to repeat it i seriously tnink that we ( DDz) should be doing 2 vs2 - one go- before thy join . I'm really , really glad you enjoyed it ! ( as much as I did) To be honest 100% i was a bit doubtful on how it will turn out , simply because we never did it like that before. Not to mention i was completely taken by surprise on the number of people showing up. Personal remarks: - i saw some incredible good 2 vs 2 fights , will post the tracks - after the initial surprise ( and Funflak nagging ) when Dogz found out we weren't using icons i saw that very quickly you all left behind that handicap . And with good results! - even we got overwhelmed in the 8 of us vs. the rest of the world , if my memory is still good NO ONE of us got shot down !! It is amazing ...so it looks like it pays off to keep training - Thor is not only sharpshooter, he also has vast expertise on tactics and on mission set up. I suggest next time he should pair up with you and DD wing as well in 4 vs 4 so you can hear and say his way of fighting. Needles to point out in all 4 missions played no one was lost on our side ... I will put a message in the shout box , to see if we re-do it next week and make arrangements , also i'll ask WWs but please write down if you have any requests / suggestions. Once again thanks all !

Last minute change of plans... Since FT said he couldn't make it i invited Thor and WWs to fill in so to have 4 of us. And ended up with Thor AND 3 WWs calling me and enlisting for tonight show. Not bad, not bad at all... So this is my schedule: - teams are A) Swep & Mr.P, B)Thor & Ovy, C)#1 WW and D)#2 WW (one of us will join them ) 2 vs 2 airspawn DF for one hour (aprox 4 fights x15mins) as follows: A vs B C vs D A vs C B vs D Second hour 4 vs 4 (probably 2 missions) DDz vs WWs (& Thor) To end ALL humans vs 8 AIs Hope dies last...maybe FT can join . Should he skip this one can you Mick ask for a "free hand" ? One more thing : we'll be doing this in VARP's TS since all of us have rooms and IP/pass. If needed i can repost them. See ya tonite

So far there's three of us . I think we'll have decrease the minimum number of participants from 4 to 3 . We will do some usual 2 vs 1and 2 vs 2 using Toad's missions - i can host too ( i will prepare to do that ) - maybe 3 or 4 sorties. Than all of us +1 AI if no one else comes vs multiple EA, like two missions. But we need a mission involving 4 vs 4 ( could be humans or AI) . Dizzy 's promised to help doing that but multiple missions will be better. OK chaps?

Mick, as stated hereabove for a session to take place we got to be at least 4 , enlisted two days ahead, so FT can have the maps really handy. Since there were just the three of us for Wed it was a NO GO. Anyway, i was in TS for some time, FT was kind do drop and say hello , i waited a bit for you / not more than 15 mins ) then went to bed. I am asking all of you - if you agree the following:- unless there is an agreement from miminum 4 players committed for Wednesday and enlisted not later than Monday we cancel the midweek session. In this respect i will make sure to keep the thread updated and see it through. - Saturday session is subject to the above criteria , enlisted not later than Thursday - one hour before Tuesday and Sunday regular coops is good for you? - one hour session will consist of : one or two max.15 min 2 vs 1 , one 2 vs 2, one 4 vs AI. (Maps, planes, settings, goals etc. will be discussed and prepared by the host to be handy, even sent by mail to the players in advance ) OR make a suggestion for the allocation of missions , what else you may want etc. Please consider it as a POLL and reply .

Yes Crash , absolutely . This why we need to know well in advance so to prepare the maps. Also thanks for your suggestion, it seems we just stepped too high too early. Gotta do it gradually.

Like everything in real life there's got to be a hick up, i'm not worried about , we'll get past it. I saw it coming as we didn't know exactly who and what, sometimes our expectations are higher than our possibilities . We have to bear to each other weakness and unvlountarily misfits, we're DangerDogz for many years ... ~S~ Gentlemen ! In regard to our common goal of establishing and honing the wing tactics and without having enough expertise and authority to judge anything i just share here my opinion, asking you to do the same . Also suggesting what to do in the incoming training in advance might be helpful , especially for creating such missions. After last mission(s) it seems to ME we are not prepared yet for dogfights involving too many airplanes ( let's say more than 4...on each side) . Maybe we should keep practicing on each session 2 vs 1 and 2 vs 2 ( like Swep suggested) and , of course, for the fun to end up with one 4 vs ...2? 3? 4?. We WILL do however ( if all agree) fighting in coops as 4 vs the rest of the world as it comes with the scenario trying to stick to eachother and not being selfish killers. I was re-reading Perf's comment in this thread and agree wholeheartedly , so patience is a virtue , and repetition is the key to succes -to quote FT as well "i don't mind repetition.." Cheers ! IMHO we're not wasting time , and results of regular coops prove it ...it's still a long way to go.. Should we take a break this Saturday or if anyone is still good to go , one hour minimum, same time just say it , so by tomorrow we all know and make arrangements. Cheers
