I was planning to install it over a saved version of 4.08. Is it better to install it over a clean install of 4.07 from the disc, then the 4.08 patch and finally 4.09? The installation of the 4.09m patch is not the problem.

IL2 will at least do things like jamming your flaps or knocking out your hydraulic system, forcing you to crank the gear down manually.

You're right, we all need to watch out for those northerners, they are a strange lot and usually a bunch of trouble makers. North Korea, North Vietnam, those Damn Yankees in the Northern U.S.
