Disable hyperthreading and you should get 4 cores. HT doesn't do anything for gaming anyway.

Good fun. It is getting there, however the multiplayer GUI is slightly annoying, and the small issues that crop up can become quite the nuissance.

I have the capability of hosting a server for the training part, and perhaps a few missions if you so wish, but a dogz outing on a public server would be fun.

Can we get a list of things people want to know?
In what year did Henry VIII die?
1547

I could try. I'll take a swing at it this weekend.

I agree with above statements. CoD is for the ignoramus and the troglodytes who unfortunatly inhabit most of the console market. What was an entertaining few games has turned into absolutely mindless few games. The game design and mechanics are nothing but poor, especially in multiplayer. Granted singleplayer was fine in some of them, but the latest few merely yielded a ahistorical farce akin to asserting the contents of the movie Flyboys to historical fact.

I can if requested hold a minor seminar on the basics if anyone is interested. I can hardly profess to be a an expert, I can however teach the basic engine operations and all the little things.

I played the beta for a while, the rush mode was fairly boring and a bit too much like call of duty for my taste. However, I have not yet tried the larger multiplayer maps, or the singleplayer but I remain somewhat intrigued.

Well you are just going to fill it with flight sims and weird porn anyway right?

An old trick is to obscure their view of the battlefield, by putting sandbags or something in the way, it is a bit tricky to get it work. I used to do it on the bofors guns. This however restricts their ability to fire at very low aircraft.

Anyone up for actually running either Warthog or BMS (essentially free these days).
I'd love to try it out.

You just want to know whether they can handle long things with a large calibre ey Arthur?

Welcome Joebob. You have to look very carefully to find a stranger bunch of guys than the dogz.

After a series of discussions with several of the dogs regarding the establishment of a Rise of Flight night that suits the European dogs. The Wednesday night flying has been a success however flying at 3-4 in the morning can be a bit difficult for most of us. This leads me to pose this simple question, which day would be suitable for such a night.
The difficulty herein is to avoid interfering too much with normal IL2 coop nights, but also balancing it with accessibility and availability. And of course, this would be open to our North American brethren as well. The suggestions so far is either Saturday or Sunday, perhaps replacing the ubizoo coops (Not like we get any volume of those people these days anyway). Rise of Flight is free these days, and most computers can run it well. In case you are feeling a bit intrigued http://riseofflight.com/tryrof/en
Additionally, it is a lot of fun.
Anyone have any suggestions on a day?

Grindhouse is a very peculiar film, or rather two films. Not Tarantino or Rodriguez best films, but an interesting foray into cinema
