The flag is upside down, Discipline man!
Ahh the logitech extreme 3d pro, my first modern stick.

It is very elementary Watson (sorry I couldn't resist)
The Big man will be along shortly to give you the induction and a complementary dram of scotch. Welcome
S!

I'll spend some time on TS and help you out Jabo, the x52 is an unruly beast but once tamed will be a great stick.

Rattler: You´re welcome:) The bad thing is that we dont get the best players to the world championchip because the NHL playoff. But it is the same for all national teams I think.

Hey Sweper, Another swede to join the squad ey, welcome. If you ever need a flying lesson in swedish (As they were intended), shoot me a PM. S!

This is essentially words that are exactly the same, and meaning different things depending on context.
Hilarity ensures.
Ever wanted to understand the Swedish chef in the muppets?

Saw something slighty pertaining to this, walked by a shop the other day, it said shirts 30% off, and the 3 mannequins next to it where undressed.

I just managed to install il2 on my new rig and got freetrac working. I managed to install the drivers for the x52, but have not managed to install the SST software. I downloaded the file from the saitek site, and ran it, however, it will not install the program (profile editor). I managed to do this on my previous
computer, but forgot how to.
Running 32bit vista.

That must have been an interesting conversation in pc world.
Jabo: Welcome to Pc world sir, and may you perchance play a game called Il2? I am a member of a group called the Danger dogz. We are bunch of seriously disturbed gentlemen who play this game together and share in evenings of banter on this wonderous invention called Teamspeak. We mainly discuss Sheep, women, alcohol and planes (in that order)
To be a fly on that wall...
Welcome Zooly.

Putting on my lights and cranking up my amplifier, how about we teach the hippies by playing Tchaikovski No1 Piano concerto very loudly.
Bring on the Nuclear reactor.
-
Hmm Sid, you are approaching the power of my current rig...
I used the 5200 for some time (the early 2000's)

Eloquent and well presented, yet not my kind of speech, but I guess the UK parliements have a more personal approach. More wellspoken than the current administration.

Ordering the 17'' Asus today, yay!

Heh heh DT, you woulda loved living in the Atlanta area, like I did when I worked at Lockheed
in the 80s.
This has been proclaimed since the fifties, but the one thing limiting it is the skill level needed.
You still gotta be a pilot, regardless of what they had in the Back to the Future movies.
Pretty neat toy though. Impressive tech.
"Where we are going, we don't need roads" Love that film. Although I dont think I would want to see a flying DeLorean.

I use VLC player for everything, nice and easy, minimalistic yet has a lot of features.

Welcome back mate.

Went into currys, which generally only have quite low performance machines, and as Jabo said, they are not plugged into the internet, I did however get a perspektive of the size of the screens, not much difference really. The 17'' is slightly larger, but has a bigger keyboard, and better speakers, and of the two HP machines displayed in curry's, seemed better built. (Might not be applicable the asus machines).
I think I will go for the 17'', sadly no physical store that is in the area back home do not sell any of the asus machines.
-
I found the same asus but with 15.4 Inch monitor, which is my current size. It is also a kilo lighter. Anyone familiar with if there is a major difference between a 15.4 and a 17 inch? The extra kilo lighter could be quite good, however, I dont move around my laptop very much.
Both screens are WXGA+ (1440x900)

Quite right Jabo, was thinking I was in an alarming proximity to you, I guess you would object to 80 cranky students knocking on your door.

And here I thought we would have a discussion in the spirit of amateur paleontology (one of the few fields of science I have no knowledge in).
