Sorry to bother you guys with details of our boring home life, but this is food for thought and a little scary. We just had our WW2 era house furnace replaced. Inside the old furnace door were the manufacturer's documents, with an install date of June 1940. It was so early in the European war, the French hadn't even had time to surrender. Here's the scary bit: The furnace guys noticed that some of the old ducting had collapsed (corrosion) and was venting furnace exhaust into the house.

Won't win any beauty contests, but this puppy does have some size.
