  1. Nice one, your settings reflect mine, including the drop down to 10 at the end. I found that all 100s is very sensitive and could induce stalling situations quicker so I introduced a curve that gradually built up to quicker deflection of the controls so that any stall came toward the end of the control movement instead of, well, anywhere if all 100s are used. More control instead of instant flickability
  2. It feels slack and loose when not connected Swep, but when flying it is different and feels tighter.

Thanks Trib. On closer inspection, what looks like outward retracting undercariage and wing bulges above the cannon can be made out - a dead giveaway for a Spit although the nose and wing thickness looked Hurri.

Does it want to load software? If it does, let it...it doesn't matter. If you put it into another USB it will want to load software, I have had that many times. If it doesn't want to load, then that is probably a different issue. Cheerzen
  6. Happy Thanksgiving, have a good 'un!
  7. I use the Saitek pedals without a profile, they can easily be used without one. Just load the driver for them, you then get the pedal icon appear in the task bar to confirm they are plugged in. Start up IL2 and go into the 'Controls' section. Scroll down to the bottom to the 'hotas section'. Click on the 'Brakes' and assign whichever toe pedal (only one, unless you alter the conf. file to simulate left/right braking, but I don't have that info here) you wish to use by pressing it, just like assigning a key. It accepts it. Bear in mind that this only works in the 'hotas' section, not in any of the others. I have tried using the other toe pedal for flaps, pushing it down lowers them and taking your foot off allows them to raise. The issue with this was that the longer you kept the toe pedal down, the further they extended and many a time I jammed them....it doesn't do it in increments, just one smooth movement until they are extended. There is a programme out that allows you to slow the time down, 'JoyControl' I think, but I didn't find any advantage. Similarly, assign the rudder pedals by doing the same. Click on it and push a pedal simulating rudder movement, it will then be assigned. Trial and error will show whether you pushed it the right way......50-50 chance
  8. Move over, room for a little one.....? I want to do the show and Normandy, I don't think London is an option at the moment. How's about I sort out the transport. We may well not need a minibus - a comfortable 7 seat people carrier for the invasion may be the answer. I will come to the Red Lion on Friday with said vehicle, stay the weekend and drive it down to Portsmouth on Monday with whosoever wishes to be in it. The crux on the Monday will be the ferry times. I'm in, just need to sort out where.....
  9. Flippin' eck, I thought you meant Christopher Lee.....
  10. Worth checking if the double beds split in half to make singles....seriously, they may be velcroed together, I have seen this on occasion.
  11. Thanks FT, that's the one. You are an absolute hero
  12. Hi all I am looking to reclaim a MiG 3 skin I've used recently on servers, certainly within the last few weeks. It's the weathered orange and blue one. Please browse through your caches for me, I would be most grateful. Cheerzen
  13. Happy Birthday gents. Have good 'uns
  14. Dumbkopf is not the right description....arsehole, scum, lowlife is more appropriate.
  15. If you aren't getting screen-tearing when you turn your head then it's not necessary to have it on - I always get the tearing so keep it on.
  16. At last, a very appropriate memorial and use of the fourth plinth. Very fitting.

I think the interest is there, it's a luxury to have a standalone server just to go and chill in or to use as a serious place for competition. It's also great to have people that are prepared to run it, it's one of the many things I love about this Pound. Cheerzen
