  1. Yep, video evidence isn't usually a good thing. The little woman has a '79 Z-28 with a '71 350cu in. motor, higher geared rear-end, ext. She wanted to know how fast it could really go. So we opened it up on a desolate stretch of road one day. We were doing a bit over 160mph & still had a little ways to go before the tach red-lined when I felt the car lose the vacuum between it & the road. The suspension lifted making it feel a bit as if it was hydroplaning on a wet road. This obviously made my butt pucker so I backed-off the gas before she decided to go into a skid. This was also about the time everyone was driving around with those stupid "NO FEAR" stickers on their vehicles & Kim found a tee-shirt she had to get me. It said "SOME FEAR- because if you've never been scared, just a little, then you haven't been going as fast as you could."
  2. Hmmmm.....A new random word:
  3. Wow. Great pics Rattler. Those falls are gorgeous.
  4. I hear that..... Had a low-wing RC plane once also. It had a 5' wing span & lasted about a year before having a mishap that rendered it unrepairable. I then put the .61 motor on a rudder steered air-boat designed for a .20 or slightly larger motor Added some nose weights to rebalance it & ended-up with an air-boat that gave jet ski's a run for their money.
  5. What can I say........Gota use your imagination a bit when working the entire herd. ~S~ Kinkystreak. Oh yeah, random word: Nipple-twister.
  6. understandable. Last night I managed to get myself in a great position several times, just to have the screen freeze just as I pulled the trigger. The shots wouldn't be fired until I unfroze & was now trailing the target instead of leading it. After the fourth or fifth time I was screaming at the screen of my laptop

    Wa wa wa wa.......
  8. Ok JP, back to sheep related huh? Helps eliminate the competition. Ha ha made ya cringe!
  9. Scary big crack. Well since you wanted me to see your nuts, thought I'd give ya something to look at too.
  10. .Yeah common sense tells me to do that from time to time, but that usually means pulling the nose around until they disappear under it. Then when I check to see if I'm gaining on them, they've changed course & disappeared just to reappear behind me. Thanks for the suggestions guys. Basically I'm doing most of that stuff already & just need to continue practicing. I've just reached that level of frustration where I finally had to vent. Thanks for being patient, listening & trying to help me out.

~S~ Thanks for the smile guys.
  12. Ummm...every aspect. Ok, some specifics: 1. If I'm closing on someone I have to keep them outside of the gunsight (with most but not all sights) until I'm very close. Otherwise I lose track of them among the markings & can't tell if they change course until it's to late. Then when I am close enough to not lose them amongst the crap in the sight, don't have time to smoothly pull them into the crosshairs without making the plane jerk around before I overtake them. 2. When I dive on an opponent I loose sight of them against the ground or water most of the time. Then if I do happen to see them again, I'm to close & to far off course to engage again & become a likely target. Those are a couple of the biggest problems.

    Hello

Welcome. Hope you enjoy it here. ~S~ The Streak
  14. I s'pose I'd be willing to watch anything that might help. So where might I find the track? I've gone & looked in the downloads, even did a forum search & can't find anything like that.
  15. Thanks Tonar, but I think I'll just stick to flying with you & try to learn by watching how the masters do it. Perhaps I'll be able to get on skys of fire again tonight for some more abuse ...um I mean practice.
  16. Over the last couple of months I've greatly improved my skills for ground-pounding. In fact it's surprising how quickly I've picked-up those skills. I'm even getting good at evading. When someone gets on my six I can get away about half the time. Even my take-offs & landings are steadily getting better. My dogfighting on the other hand just plain SUCKS! I just can't seem to get into the groove & if it weren't for a shaved head, I'd be pulling my hair out. Ok, I'll quit whining now & just go back to beating my head against the wall.
  17. Lookin good mates. I've got the La-7 underway. Cockpit is painted & inside the fuselage. Wings are also on & I've been applying putty & sanding ext. in preparation for painting.
  18. Makes me wish I had pond near-by since we've been having temps of mid 90's to low 100's.
