Salute gents,
i. The delicate problem is that i get into spins or stalls very very easily. I have to move the stick and the pedals watching for the smallest sign of flatspin...I suppose this can be solved by correlating the settings of the yaw , pitch and roll and would appreciate very much any help, or indications .
Anticipated thanks
Ovy
Hi Ovy why not try this It really works well

Sweet!
Where's the 109 from?
Lanc again for you! Jealous.
I think that it is the Airbus 109

I must be technically inept! TS Notifier wouldn't work and neither does TINT. The engine is activated, the plugin shows on TS3 and the version which is Beta 3, shows 32 bit. Then I tried Opera. Couldn't figure it out. Too much twitter, facebook and other garbage. I think I will get drunk this afternoon.
Sounds like a plan

Have to share some coool news with you guys:
The Canadian Lanc is back in Edmonton mid-August.
And guess what lucky Dog just got confirmation yesterday that it will leave the city him aboard?
I get to fly on the Lanc on the Edmonton to Winnipeg leg of the trip (about 3 hours).
Woo Hoo!!
I tell you I had the biggest s**t-eating grin on my face when I was told.
Too feakin' incredible.
Don't have all the details yet - but will share them once I get them.
Lucky bugger Take lots of pics (as if you need to be told)

..................as discussed with Painless at Duxford, don't let the kids on the PC !!!!!!
2 nights I was away..........only TWO NIGHTS, I am still sorting the PC out now 9 days on.. Goodness knows what they did to it while I was away but on my return IE8 only worked intermittently, the sound card needed to be re-installed, Windows needed a system restore to the day before I came away, Internet favourites and desktop wallpapers were gone and the keyboard had become a US American one. To add insult to injury I have only now got IL2 (patched to UP2.1) working again having had a rock solid install for months. (It completely refused to load and finally I have got bored of trying to fix it and removed & re-installed from scratch.) Thankfully all is now apparently working so ROOLZ TO BE ME again !!!
If it wasn't for the fact my anti-virus is bang up to date I woudl be rather concerned as well !!!!
Dave
Glad you got it sorted Sounds like you need a lock and key!

muhhahahahahhahaha,
Its alive
Thanks rog, fired up straight away.
Now that leads to a question, why did it happen in the first place.
I had just installed ntune, could that be the reason?
Windows Feature?

good luck with getting access to the saitek forums.
I've tried to register there several times, and they just don't seem to like me
This is one post
If it is a potentiometer problem you will know when you go into the "control" settings on the main FSX screen' date=' click on "calibrate" and and then "properties". If the "twist" jumps all over the place when you twist the stick-a dirty pot!Unscrew the four "allen screws" on the silver handle and the four "phillips" in the handle. Loosen the the knob that locks the grip height all the way out and [u']Carefully[/u] spread the bottom of the handle and move the back locking piece out of the way. It will seem like you are going to break everything, just do it slowly- it will move out of the way.
Pop the side of the handle with the "Saitek X52" on it and be careful, there is a spring that gives the top trigger tension-and it will fallout easily. Once the side is off you will see a small gold ,round potiometer ( like whats on a volume control on old radios, mounted vertically). Buy a can of turner cleaner(Radio Shack) and spray it into the open notch on the the side of the Potentiomenter where the wires are connected. Twist the handle several times slowly. Put several squirts into it-do not drown it-a little goes a long way!
Reassemble the handle and make sure the spring for the top trigger is mounted correctly.
Like new again!
Let me know if you have any problems with this instruction
NOTE: USE ONLY TUNER CLEANER,NOTHING ELSE!!!!
Just checked and tuner cleaner is Tetraflurothane and white mineral oil.
hope this helps

This thread might be useful (you might have to register with Saitek first}

Thanks for that gec I was wondering about it myself

What functions , if any, are you using the "thumb" axes for?
C_G
I am using the 4 buttons in the corner (which was a hat switch) for Sans FoV changer. 1 joystick mapped to give 4 buttons for lights and smoke. Only 1 button of the six at the top is allocated at the moment and thats for padlock enemy ground

Due to the G940 FFB dying, I wondered if I could get the X52 to shake as stall is approached. So I borrowed my sons Saitek rumble pad and attached it to the handle of the X52 stick to see if it worked
It did work
so I stripped the pad down
and removed the rumble unit
I then cut up the Saitek rudder pedal extension feet as I couldnt find a small container to house the rumble unit
I cut the rumble pad housing that held the unit
and extended the thin wires using some old speaker cable This was tricky and I didnt get the joypad board to feed the rumble unit at first attempt
I then had to find a housing for the joypad. Luckily it fitted an electrical double socked mounting after elongating a couple of holes in the circuit board of the joypad
After a couple of attempts I managed to drill holes in the right place on the blanking plate to allow the use of the 2 mini sticks and 10 buttons
After securing the wire to the joystick handle I tested it and it worked fine.
Total cost was £8 and now I have18 more buttons (using the SST software) and the stick judders if I leave the u/c down or approach a stall
