  1. Woohoo! I followed your instructions and found errors reoccurring as below: This one happend often Error - Service Control Manager - The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load: kl1 Warning - Tcpip - TCP/IP has reached the security limit imposed on the number of concurrent TCP connect attempts. I figure the latter relates just to net stuff. The first doesn't mean a great deal to me, I must admit. The first error type happened four times today if that is of any significance.
  2. Thanks for the handy info Friar. It could be worth a
  3. Thanks for the replies guys, even yours VT - that'd be my reply to you as well cos I know nothing about this stuff. The specs I posted do seem good but the price is suspicously reasonable - JPY114,000 (about US$1100). No monitor or OS included but I have them already and don't want Visdta yet from what I hear. Just wondering why it is this price. I was expecting it would be arounf Y200,000. Sound card is an excellent idea - I'd forgotten about that again. Crash - I would but then I'd presumably have to know what a BIOS was so I think I'll either take it to a shop oir else use it until it dies. My wife issurprisigly willing to upgrade though so I figure this could be a blessing in disguise. The only catch is that she insists on
  4. By the way, I just looked at a PC site. These specs sound good to me and the price is much lower than I thought. Does it look good/upgradeable? Intel® Core™2 Quad Q6600 G0 Step 2.4GHz (Quad Core / L2 Cache 4MB x2) Intel® P35 Express Chipset ATX Form Motherboard 2GB DDR2 SDRAM (800MHz/ Dual Channel enabled) 500GB Serial ATA II HDD (7200rpm/ 16MB) nVIDIA GeForce 8600GT Graphics Card (256MB/ PCI Express) Super Multi DVD Rewriter (DVD±R 18x/ DVD-RAM 12x/ Dual Layer
  5. As you can tell, something BAAAAD is happening with my PC. Three times it has just cut out on me in the last two days. Today when I started it up it brought up DOS saying "BIOS ROM Error. Please insert system disk". I don't know what tha t means so I turned it off and restarted. All was fine except for the error message. "Windows has recovered from a serious problem". Not good! Then when I did the Erro Report thing I got this cheerful info: ====== Problem caused by computer hardware This problem was caused by an unrecoverable hardware error that caused the operating system to stop functioning. Troubleshooting -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you have received this error more than once, it could indicate a serious problem with your computer. We recommend that you do the following: Back up your files to avoid data loss in case of a complete hardware failure. Contact the original manufacturer of your computer to determine the specific component which is failing. Additional technical information Although we know the problem is caused by a hardware component, the error report does not contain enough information to tell us the specific component. It is likely that the problem is being caused by one of the following computer components: Random Access Memory (RAM) System board Central Processing Unit (CPU) Power supply =============== That was the second time I've seen that message! Everything I value is backed up but I really can't afford for this PC to go down. Well I could but I really don't want to pay for it to go down is perhaps a more honest answer. Any thoughts?
  6. Looks like a cartoon character or something all wired on kiddie crack. Just having a good time playin'.
  7. Glad you guys liked it. JP - FlatSpinBabygirl aka Aika is doing great. Can't believe how much fun she is and how perfect in every respect she is (I may be a bit impartial I concede). We're especially having lots of fun "talking" to her as she experiements with making sounds. We're lucky and we know it.
  8. Got this in an email from a friend. Best if read aloud. Subject: : THE HORTH WHITHPERER
  9. That is magnificently evil. Good one.
  10. Like the name. I'll download this and then take that island apart to see how it's done.
  11. The 109 skin is by bird_brain. He made them for my Legion Kondor campaign. You know, I think the Germans actually spell it with a "C" too. I really should have checked that. I agree JP = this game can still blow me away. BOB will have to be mindblowing to top this I think. Have a look at the French campaign released by Compans recently to see how good it can be. The first instant of the first mission had me pulled right in.
  12. Nicely done. I really must pay the good sisters a visit shortly. I feel there is much we could all learn.
  13. He's a good looking little boy, C_G but he ain't getting near my girl! I can already tell it's going to be hard to let her grow up when she hits the teenage years. I had never really noticed babies or children before but now I notice they're everywhere. I'm amazed at how grown up a 21/2 month old baby can look compared to our little tiny one. I can see that change will be really quick, that's why we're trying hard to enjoy her at this stage despite the crying and odd sleeping patterns.
  14. Thanks guys. She certainly does get her share of attention but we are enjoying her right now. Just the definition of purity and innocence (which makes it al the funnier when she lets rip a huge fart!).
  15. Thanks everyone. She's going to be a heart breaker, I'm sure. Her name is made of two characters - "Ai" = Love and "Ka" = Flower. BG - if I put her name down on the waiting list now would she have a chance to join by the time she's 18?
  16. That's good to hear. I'm sure the number of objects is a big drag on the net but glad you presevered. BG - no probs about changing the RAF types. It was quite tempting to do the same in my campaign but it just didn't suit the time frame. Sged - glad you liked them. The Spits mission sounds like something from Billy Pryce/EAFWHizz maybe. I know he has made 4 Med campaigns for the RAF. Actually, they would probably be a laugh for co-ops - lots of low-level quick action. BG - here is yet another reason why I can't/don't fly online. My new daughter (our first child) Aika! This pic is two hours after she was born two weeks ago. She's gorgeous. A troublemaker for her mum but lovely nonetheless.
  17. Forgot all about this thread and offer. Ooops. Did anyone try them as co-ops? If so, how did they work out?
  18. Actually I thought I had just replied to an existing thread. Don't quite know how it became a thread of its own. Probably BG's fault...
  19. Quote: ==================== we give Jensen Park a bit of slack on this though, as he has been known to be funny and we never know when that may happen again. ==================== I liked this one. Good post, too, BTW.
  20. Pretty sure it's only smoke, lights and fire that are movable. I have tried raising an 88mm gun in the past but it didn't work. Seems pointless to include the capability for just a few objects.
  21. I'm keen to try the offline ones. My email should be on the big mail outs we get about coops I can never join. Skins included or not, either is fine but with is prettier.
  22. Just hold F4 down, with right mouse and move the mouse forward and backward to adjust height. Something like that - F4 is the key however. You can also raise smoke and fire objects.
  23. Hi BG, the real IL2skins is IL2skins.com but is not yet ready.
  24. Cool. Glad there'll be a use for them. When I'm done I'll send a selection of more suitable ones with the fully populated template and the empty map.
