  1. Good choice. The westinghouse monitors have always stood out for me on those electronic store display stands because of its lovely color and sharp detail, combined with a generally lower pricetag. I will be looking forward to the full review.......when time allows.
  2. Hmmmmmmmmm. Methinks a trip to the grave.....er electronics store is in order. EGOR! bring around the car! Muuaaahaaaahaaaahaaaa.
  3. Well, I wouldn't take any of my advice, as I can't even spell patient.
  4. For instance, this might be a better choice for a motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6813128337 It is fullsize, has lots of features and still has an intel chipset, and it's still pretty cheap. and this power supply is name brand, high power and pretty cheap (just sans bells and whistles) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... _-Homepage. Just trying to put the slow down and study bug in your ear. I've rarely regretted doing my homework, I've often regretted jumping on that can't pass up deal. There I go again.........
  5. Tonar, the 8600 is crap......don't even consider it. The 9600 might be worth a gander though. I've heard that some of the 8800 GT's are going for $150 or so - serious bang for the buck. The mini ATX should go into your case fine, but it will be cramped. I would be hesitant to buy an aspire power supply, see if you can get a Thermaltake, antec, corsair or something along those lines, if you look for sales you can get a good price. My best advice is to be pacient, you've lived with your present computer this long, a couple of weeks of research won't kill you. You will have to live with any mistakes much longer than that. PS I'm really sorry if I sound like your father, it's old age setting in and I really can't help myself.
  6. Mooseknickle.......so gross I can't even spell it properly..........
  7. A toast to the Wingman: indispensible in all hostile environments.
  8. Ah, OK that makes sense. I seem to remember reading that the D's were used more against convoys and troop concentrations than tanks, but I'm not 100% on that one. As a point of information, the pz III and IV should be fairly lightly armored at the top and rear, the I's and II's were little more than armored cars with tracks, the 38t as far as I know was never used in the desert. It's hard to say what level of detail the damage model has though.
  9. A lot of us still fly on hyper lobby and some places aren't as free thinking and evolved as us, so they don't allow mods.
  10. OK, here's the first one. The 352nd's switcher is here (highlited) Do not drag it out of the folder, as it won't work outside of the folder! Simply right click and click "send to desktop (create shortcut)" or do whatever shortcut creation routine you like. The shortcut can then be dragged anywhere you like. When you double click the shortcut, you'll get a menu with "radio buttons". Select your version and hit the button on the bottom.
  11. Well not really, but that got your attention didn't it? Seriously, Quasi and I have decided to throw ourselves under the Mod bus and become tech support for the "Mod transition". Post any questions or problems (with the Mods) here, PM's are OK but if we do it here everyone can benefit. If any experienced modders want to pitch in, please feel free, but let's try to keep this thread as clean as possible, so we all can find the problems and solutions as quickly and efficiently as possible. Tanks, Chet
  12. I'm with most of the guys here, my only addition is about the power supply, I would go for at least 600W as power supplies tend to be most efficient and reliable at 50% to 80% of capacity and it's nice to have overhead for later expansion. And get a good one! clean, steady power is a computers best friend.
  13. Stingray, I'm curious, do the two throttles use pots? how 'bout the other axes? you gave me some ideas! Muuuaaahhaaaahhaaaahaaaa
  14. I'm not sure on the tent buster Mate, but I hear you can change the ammo, maybe that's it? The F1 has a 20mmFF cannon (same as the wing guns in the E's). Both the F1 and F2 should also have the same engine as the E (DB 610N) as the DB 601E wasn't available yet, but I'm not sure if this is modeled in the game.
  15. Nice work on all of them! The first is my favorite. About that last one.....er....the sixties were good to you werent they Arthur?
  16. It might be possible, but I wouldn't hold my breath. These people have proven themselves full 'o shite more than once.
  17. You people are disgusting. Yet perceptive. >
  18. I'm with Kling. Saitek is less expensive-CH is better quality. There are a few other points too; the X52 has more buttons and switches and has rotaries, I also think that the programming software is better (than CH). As for the pedals, the CH pedals have a much sturdier feel and they're tough as nails, but the spread of the pedals is so narrow as to be uncomfortable, wereas the saitek's are quite widely spaced. (I have both and use the saiteks) I also believe that the wider stance makes the saiteks more precise.
