  1. Myself and Fruitbat have a little display almost ready so count us in.

We don't want any of your Brokeback Mountain kind of displays here Painless! Just aeronautical stuff only!

    ~S~ GK M8,

Our "Backbreak Mount" is the best bit of the routine !!! :roflmao:

  2. Ok, I have just canceled my room (at no cost to me) and am therefore Bedless....

I would prefer to have a hotel rather than under canvas as I think it would be better for the socializing.

I think JP's offer is a very generous one and one which we should go with.

I propose, we keep this open till Tuesday of next week to get the names and then we book it.

It will mean an early start on saturday morning to avoid the traffic but that is a small price to pay for good company.

Tell any dog you know that does not come by the boards much that they need to put their name forward NOW......

    ~S~ Chaps,

I hope that JP's hotel price will be OK with you Gec M8?

  4. ~S~ Chaps,

Thinking about it ....if the weather is a bit naff then it would be nice to have a nearby pub to "gather Inn" on Friday and Saturday evenings.

For that reason my vote would be to go for JP's "limited offer" in Cambridge . Lets decide asap one way or another ...over to you chaps.

I think JP needs to know numbers sooner rather than later for a block booking if we choose that option.

  5. ~S~ Chaps,

    WANKERS !!! :thumbsd:

From expieriance I would wait to see what JP can come up with in Cambridge as a first choice and then camping as a good second ??

Either would be fine as long as we all can get together in the evenings for Pimms and medals !

I agree with Jim that the Red Lion WILL also put their prices up because they can sell all rooms twice over without us !

Glad you managed to cancel Crash M8 !

We have to MOVE on this JP .

Colin, got your phone message will ring you this evening M8.

    ~S~ Painless.

  6. ~S~ Uncle Colin ,

£85 vs £145 per night ?? WTF :startle:

OK in that case I WANT to share a room with you Friar .....bollocks to the others !!! LMAO :roflmao: I am willing to role play, wear mildly uncomfortable garments and be dominant or submissive !!! BEAT THAT DDZ !!

Seriously, I have requested the leave from work and will be booking a twin just as soon as we have this price thing cleared up and my leave confirmed.

Looks like it is going to be a total of £145 pounds each for a twin over two nights right ?

Who wants to share BTW ? ( no snorers !!! ) LOL

  8. Chaps, advice please...

I have a Co2 extinguisher which found its way home when I left my old job.

It was last serviced in 2006 and weighed 5.5kg

I have just weighed it and it still weighs 5.5kg

My question is, would this still be OK to keep around the house just in case?

    Regards

    Friar

Should be ok but as with anything out of it's service regime it becomes potentially unreliable. Having said that, a service for a CO2 is a weighing........not a lot else to do with it.

A lot of people buy fire extinguishers for home and car use and they don't get serviced although it is recommended to replace it after a specified period of years. Don't know what that period is for a CO2 because they can't be bought for domestic use, home ones usually contain powder.

    Cheerzen

    Colin M8,

As Sid said I wouldn't rely on it but....... If you ever have a small electrical fire then try it first (less mess). Also I know that should you ever find an intruder in your house ( heaven forbid) you can smash him near to death with a fire extinguisher without fear of prosecution because any court would find your being in possession of and using such an item reasonable ! :thumbsu:

My M8 keeps a 9kg dry powder at the top of his stairs for just such an eventuality.

    Cheers Mick.

  9. ~S~ JP ,

Sorry to hear that M8 . Just goes to show that even you cannot arrange the bloody weather !

I am confident that you will still get a flight at some stage because the great Jason Perk does NOT take "no" for an answer. :thumbsu:
